UPSC Recruitment 2014 For Various Positions Under Different Ministries Through Advertisement No. 02/2014

Union Public Service Commission is the sole authority entrusted the task of competent selection of Group ‘B’ and Group ‘A’ positions in various departments under the Government of India. At various times, depending upon the requirement, the UPSC releases notifications for various positions under the Central Government.

Through UPSC Examination Notification No. 02/2014, UPSC is inviting Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) from eligible candidates to join in the Central Govt under various departments and ministries.

The details of the vacancies and criteria for eligibility are as under:

Vacancy No. 14020201508: Deputy Director (Cooperation/Credit) in Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture – Total 1 Position (UR) – Education & Experience – Masters Degree in any discipline along with 5 years’ experience in the area of Co-operation/Credit in a Government or Cooperative / Credit Organisation – Desirable– Diploma in Cooperation
2. Vacancy No. 14020202508: Assistant Soil Conservation Officer (NRM/RFS) in Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture – Total 1 Position (OBC) – Education & Experience – Master’s degree in Agronomy or Agriculture with Agronomy as a subject or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science or Agricultural Extension or Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Botany/Botany or Forestry or Degree in Agricultural Engineering along with 3 years experience of Soil and Water Conservation/Watershed Management including Reclamation and Development of Degraded lands

Vacancy No. 14020203508: Fodder Agronomist in Regional Station for Forage Production and Demonstration, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture – Total 1 Position (UR) – Education & Experience – Fodder Agronomist in Regional Station for Forage Production and Demonstration, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture along with 3 years experience in Planning and organization of Fodder Farming or Research or extension work in Fodder Production – Desirable – Doctorate degree in Agronomy with specialization in Forage production.
4. Vacancy No. 14020204508: Assistant Professor of Sugar Technology in National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution – Total 1 Position (UR) – Education & Experience – Degree in Science/Engineering with (i) Associateship in Sugar Technology awarded by National Sugar Institute, Kanpur OR (ii) Post Graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology along with 5 years experience of Teaching/ Research/ Advisory experience in the field of Sugar Technology OR 5 years practical experience of working in a sugar factory in a Supervisory/Managerial capacity – Desirable – Ph.D. (Chemistry) OR Fellowship in Sugar Technology awarded by the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur and Experience in drafting and editing of Scientific and Technological Reports and Reviews.

Vacancy No. 14020205108: Specialist Medical Officer, Gr.II (Junior Scale), (General Medicine) in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence – Total 2 Positions (UR-01, OBC-01) – Education & Experience – MBBS with Post Graduate Degree qualification in the concerned speciality viz. Vacancy No. 14020207108: Specialist Medical Officer, Gr.II (Junior Scale), (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence – Total 1 Position (OBC) – Education & Experience – MBBS with Post Graduate Degree qualification in the concerned speciality viz. MD(Obstetrics & Gynaecology), M.S.(Obstetrics & Gynaecology), M.D.(Mid & Gynaecology.), M.S.(Mid & Gynae.), M.O. M.R.C.O.G Speciality Board of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (U.S.A.)/ DGO. The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE. Must have 3 years experience of working in a responsible position concerned with the specialty for PG-Degree holders and 5 years of working experience in similar capacity for a PG-Diploma holder.
8. Vacancy No. 14020208108: Specialist Medical Officer, Gr.II (Junior Scale), (Radiology) in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence – Total 1 Position (UR) – Education & Experience – MBBS with Post-graduate Degree/Diploma in Radiology viz. F.F.R.M.D./M.S(Radiology) D.M.R.T/DMRD/DMR or other diploma of two years duration from Speciality Board of Radiology (U.S)F.F.R./DMRE,DMR,DMRD,DMRT. The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE. Must have 3 years experience of working in a responsible position concerned with the specialty for PG Degree holders and 5 years of working experience in similar capacity for a PG-Diploma holder.
9. Vacancy No. 14020209108: Medical Officers/Research Officers (Homoeopathy) in Department of Ayush, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare – Total 27 Positions (UR-13, OBC-08, SC-04, ST-02) – Education & Experience – Degree in Homoeopathy of recognised University along with Enrolment on the Central Register of Homoeopathy or State Register of Homoeopathy.
10. Vacancy No. 14020210608: Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Office of Chief Engineer, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration – Total 15 Positions (UR-10, OBC-03, SC-02) – Education & Experience – B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Plan of Examination:

The Selection Examination will consist of a Written Test and followed by a round of personal Interview. The final selection will be based on the performance in these two examinations

Pay Scale:

The applicants selected for various posts will be considered under the Pay Scale with various of Grade Pays as per the nature of the posts as follows:

• Post No.1 & 4: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.6000 in PB-III
• Post No.5,6,7 & 8: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.6600 in PB-III
• Post No.2 & 3: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 in PB-III
• Post No.10: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 + Medical Allowance of Rs.500 per month in PB-III

Age Requirement (as on closing date):

• Not exceeding 50 years for the posts at Post Nos.4.
• Not exceeding 48 years for the posts at Post Nos.6 & 7.
• Not exceeding 45 years for the posts at Post Nos.5 & 8.
• Not exceeding 38 years for the posts at Post Nos.2
• Not exceeding 35 years for the posts at Post Nos.3 & 9.
• Not exceeding 30 years for the posts at Post No.10.

Application Fee:

• All applicants (except Female/ SC/ ST/ PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-five only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or any of its associate banks by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
• For SC, ST, Women, PH candidates: Fees Exempted
• For OBC Male candidates the fees will be full and there is no relaxation in fees for OBC male candidates

How to Apply:

• Candidates must apply online through the ORA only available at the website – //upsconline.nic.in .  Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected
• The applicants are advised to submit a single application only
• The candidates need to upload their recent passport size photo and signature at the appropriate spaces on the Online Application.
• After submitting the Online Recruitment Application, the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application and keep that with them for future reference
• Candidates should also note down their RID number for future reference.
• Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications.
