UPPSC Recruitment 2014-15 Notification for Various Positions of State Government Services
UPPSC with its recent announcement is inviting applications for recruitment of various positions vacant under various departments under the state government.
The details of the recruitment procedure are as follows:
Important Dates:
- Date of publication of Notification: 29-Sep-2014
- Starting date for receipt of Completed Application (online/ offline): 29-Sep-2014
- Last date for remittance of Application Fees at the bank: 27-Oct-2014
- Last date for receipt of hardcopy of Applications: 30-Oct-2014
- Applications will be accepted only when fee is deposited in the Bank
- Date for calculation of Age (except where indicated otherwise): 01-Jul-2014
Details of Vacancies to be filled up:
Fire Service Dept., U.P. (Home Dept.):
- Chief Fire Officer: 11 Vacancies (UR-07, SC-02, OBC-02 out of which 01 SC post is re-advertised)
- Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 in PB-III
- Qualification: Three years degree in Fire Engineering from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any equivalent degree / Divisional Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or equivalent.
- Experience: Knowledge of automobile repairing and Experience of practical Fire Fighting and handling major conflagrations will be preferred.
- Age: 23-40 years with applicable relaxation in upper age limit
Forest Department:
- Assistant Statistical Officer: 17 Vacancies (UR-11, OBC-06)
- Pay Scale: Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 in PB-II
- Qualification: Post-Graduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematical Statistics or Commerce or Economics or Statistics with ‘O’ Level Diploma in Computer awarded by DOEACC along with knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Script.

Evaluation Division, State Planning Institute:
- Assistant Statistical Officer: 31 Vacancies (UR-18, OBC-08, SC-05)

Uttar Predesh Secretariat Legislative Department Service:
- Vetting Officer: 02 Vacancies (UR)
- Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 in PB-III
- Qualification: Bachelor of Arts degree (with English literature or Hindi Literature as one of the subjects) or Bachelor of Science degree or Bachelor of Commerce degree with a minimum 50% marks AND, three years Bachelor or Laws degree with minimum 50% marks Or Five years Bachelor of Laws degree with a minimum 50% marks.

U.P. Directorate of Sports:
- Sports Officer: 02 Vacancies (UR-01, OBC-01)
- Pay Scale: Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4800 in PB-II
- Qualification: Must have Graduation from a recognized university and must have represented State team in National Tournaments as a player. The candidates should have Diploma in Training (Coaching) from National Institute of Sports, Patiala or its other centers as Kolkata, Gandhi Nagar or Bangalore along with Two (2) Years experience of organizing tournaments. The candidates must have represented the National Team.

- Qualification: Must have Graduation from a recognized university and must have represented State team in National Tournaments as a player. The candidates should have Diploma in Training (Coaching) in Football/ Lawn Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Handball/ Weight Lifting/ Cricket/ Badminton/ Archery/ Shooting/ Fencing from National Institute of Sports, Patiala or its other centers as Kolkata, Gandhi Nagar or Bangalore along with Two (2) Years experience of organizing tournaments. The candidates must have One year experience of organizing tournaments along with Diploma/ Certificate in Physical Education.

- Qualification: Must have Graduation from a recognized university and must have represented the University team in Inter-University tournament Or represented the State school team in all India school tournament as a player. The candidates should have Diploma in Training (Coaching) in Football/ Lawn Tennis/ Table Tennis/ Handball/ Weight Lifting/ Cricket/ Badminton/ Archery/ Shooting/ Fencing from National Institute of Sports, Patiala or its other centers as Kolkata, Gandhi Nagar or Bangalore along with Diploma/ Certificate in Physical Education. In case of candidates who have participated in International tournament as a player, the educational qualification may be relaxed up to Intermediate.

- Probation Period: 1 year
- Qualification: Diploma of Civil Engineering from the erstwhile Thompson College of Civil Engineering Roorkee, OR, a Degree in Civil Engineering, OR, Passed Section ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’, of the associate membership examination of either the Institute of Civil Engineers (England). or Institute of Engineers (India), OR, Passed the associate membership examination of the City and Gilds Institute (Imperial college of Science and Technology) South Kenington in Civil Engineering, OR, Any qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering which is recognized by the Institute of Engineers (India)

U.P. Chikitsa Shiksha (Ayurvedic) Department:
- Professor (Prasuti Avam Stri Rog): 01 Vacancy (OBC)
- Pay Scale: Rs.12000 – Rs.16500 before amendment
- Qualification: Must have Five (5) years Degree in Ayurveda OR, five (5) years Degree from the Board of Indian Medicine along with 10 years of full-time teaching experience in the subject (8 years of experience for a PG Degree holder) including three years on the post of Reader. Post-Graduate qualification of the subject from a recognized Institution will be preferred. Adequate knowledge of Hindi, English and Sanskrit. Candidates having done Research Work and Publications will be preferred.

U.P. Chikitsa Shiksha (Homeopathic) Department:
- Professor (Repertory): 04 Vacancies (UR-02, OBC-01, SC-01)
- Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.7600 in PB-III
- Qualification: Must have recognized Diploma or a Degree in Homoeopathy/ MBBS as recognized by Homeopathic Central Council. Must have 3 years teaching experience as Reader or Associate Professor or 10 years teaching experience in the subject concerned in Homoeopathic Medical College. Candidates having Administrative or Research experience in an Institution or Unit recognized by Central Council for research in Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy or Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy or Central Government or a State Government will be preferred.
- Age: 30-50 years with applicable relaxation in upper age limit
U.P. Department of Higher Education:
- Registrar: 03 Vacancies (UR-02, OBC-01)
- Pay Scale: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.7600 in PB-III
- Qualification: Must have Graduate Degree or its equivalent qualification and good knowledge of Hindi and English along with at least 15 years experience in administrative and Supervisory level in any University, Government Office or Institute of Higher Education or at least 15 years teaching experience in Degree College or a University. Candidates having Post Graduate Degree will be preferred.
- Age: 35-45 years with applicable relaxation in upper age limit

Preference:
- Other qualifications being equal, candidates having 2 years service experience in Territorial Army / NCC ‘B’/ NCC ‘C’ certificate will be preferred for Employment.
- There will be horizontal reservation for Women, PWD and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per rules.
- Knowledge of Hindi is essential for all the posts.
Application fees:
- Unreserved (General) & OBC: Rs. 95 (Exam fee Rs.80 + Online processing fee Rs.15)
- Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe from UP: Rs. 55 (Exam fee Rs.40 + Online processing fee Rs.15)
- Physically Handicapped from UP: Rs. 15 (only Online processing fee)
- The fee can be deposited through the system generated e-Challan at any branch of State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank and thereafter need to uploaded to the Online Application System for complete submission of application.
- Any correction in the application should be done by a fresh application and a fresh application fee will be required for such applications.
Selection Procedure:
The candidates will be selected on a Merit listing with any/ all of the following stages of selection as per the discretion of the UPPSC.
- Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (Written Test of Scrutiny)
- Stage-II: Interview/ Viva-Voice (oral)
- Stage-III: Medical Fitness Test (if any)
How to Apply:
The interested candidates can apply only through ONLINE mode of application as available through the website of UPPSC at //uppsc.up.nic.in
There will be three stages for complete submission of Application:
- Stage-I will be general registration with basic information and bio-data.
- Stage-II will be regarding submission of fees through the system generated E-challan and final submission of application.
- Stage-III must be completed along with depositing the fee at the State Bank of India or PNB. At this stage the candidate has to scan and upload their photograph and signature.
- A Hardcopy of the application need to be sent to the UPPSC within the last date notified (30-Oct-2014) along with all necessary documents.
- The Application once submitted, will not be allowed to be modified.
- Any improper or misleading information may lead to disqualification of candidature.
