UP Housing and Development Board (UPAVP) as a dedicated functionary under the UP state Administration, is engaged in construction of homes and offices based on understanding of consumer needs and preferences from the government perspective. With the recent initiative from the UPAVP, Government of Uttar Pradesh, a recruitment notification has been published to induct Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers for staffing the present vacancies in the Board. The recruitment will be conducted through a merit basis selection modality.

- Assistant Engineer (Civil): 54 vacancies (SC-11, ST-01, OBC-09, & UR-33)
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical): 03 vacancies (SC-01, & UR-02)
- Junior Engineer (Civil): 73 vacancies (SC-10, ST-05, OBC-26, & UR-32)
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): 03 vacancies (SC-01, & OBC-02)
Pay Scale Provisions:
- Assistant Engineer (Civil): The candidates successfully selected as Asst. Engineer (Civil) positions will be entitled to receive a remuneration in the Pay Scale of PB-III with Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical): The candidates successfully selected as Asst. Engineer (Electrical) positions will be entitled to receive a remuneration in the Pay Scale of PB-III with Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 and a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month
- Junior Engineer (Civil): The candidates successfully selected as Jr. Engineer (Civil) positions will be entitled to receive a remuneration in the Pay Scale of PB-II with Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): The candidates successfully selected as Jr. Engineer (Electrical) positions will be entitled to receive a remuneration in the Pay Scale of PB-II with Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month
Vital Academic Requirements:
- Assistant Engineer (Civil): The candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have adequate knowledge of Devnagari script and should be able to read, write and speak Hindi.
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical): The candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have adequate knowledge of Devnagari script and should be able to read, write and speak Hindi.
- Junior Engineer (Civil): The candidates must have completed a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have adequate knowledge of Devnagari script and should be able to read, write and speak Hindi.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): The candidates must have completed a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The candidate must have adequate knowledge of Devnagari script and should be able to read, write and speak Hindi.
Age Eligibility:
- For Assistant Engineer (Civil & Electrical): An applicant must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years and should be above 21 years as on 01-July-2013
- For Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical): An applicant must not have crossed the maximum age of 40 years and should be above 18 years as on 01-July-2013
- However there will be relaxation in upper age limit applicable for SC, ST, OBC and Ex-SM and other deserving candidates as per rules.
Selection Criteria:
- The selection of candidates will be done through a Online Selection Test, and an Interview as per the discretion of the UPAVP.
Application fees:
- For SC/ST candidates: Rs.500
- For all others including OBC: Rs.1000
- The fee need to be deposited through the prescribed e-challan as available at the website of the UPAVP at //www.upavp.com/ through any branch of Punjab National Bank on the very next day of registration of application but not later than 07-Sept-2013.

- The decision of the Board/ Parisad will be final and binding on the candidates
