UCIL Recruitment 2013 For induction Of Trainees In Various Designated Trades

Uranium Corporation of India Limited is a Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy. UCIL is at the forefront of the Nuclear Power cycle. Fulfilling the requirement of Uranium for the Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors, UCIL plays a very significant role in India’s nuclear power generation program.

The UCIL is having it’s headquarter and registered office at Jaduguda Mines P.O., District East Singhbhum, Jharkhand. Company is engaged in mining & processing of uranium ore and following IDA pattern of pay scales. Presently this company has announced induction of Training for candidates who have secured a career in Diploma, Graduation, 10+2 (Intermediate) and matriculation education.

  • Diploma Trainee (Mining): 2 Posts (UR)
  • Diploma Trainee (Mechanical): 1 post (UR)
  • Diploma Trainee (Instrumentation): 1 post (ST)
  • Graduate Operational Trainee (CRD): 1 post (ST-Backlog)
  • Graduate Operational Trainee (Physics): 2 posts (ST and 1 Backlog)
  • Operational Trainee (Electrical): 3 posts (UR-1, SC-1, ST-1)
  • Operational Trainee (Winding Engine Driver): 4 posts (UR-2, OBC(NCL)-1, ST-1)

Stipend Pattern with Future Prospects and Training Period:

  • Diploma Trainee (Mining/ Mechanical/ Instrumentation): Training Period -1 year – Consolidated Stipend per Month – Rs.20131 – May be inducted as Assistant Foreman with a Pay Scale of Rs.11510- Rs.17930 at the discretion of the UCIL
  • Graduate Operational Trainee (CRD/ Physics): Training Period -2 years – Consolidated Stipend per Month – Rs.20131 for 1st Year and higher in 2nd year – May be inducted as Scientific Assistant-A with a Pay Scale of Rs.11510- Rs.17930 at the discretion of the UCIL
  • Operational Trainee (Electrical): Training Period -1 year – Consolidated Stipend per Month – Rs.16598 – May be inducted as Helper-C (Electrical) with a Pay Scale of Rs.9490- Rs.14800 at the discretion of the UCIL
  • Operational Trainee (Winding Engine Driver): Training Period -3 years – Consolidated Stipend per Month – Rs. 17857 for first year and higher for 2nd and 3rd year – May be inducted as Winding Engine Driver-B with a Pay Scale of Rs.10210- Rs.15910 at the discretion of the UCIL

Upper Age Limit As on 31-May-2013:     

  • The candidates should not have crossed the age of 30 years for UR category, 33 years for OBC and 35 years for ST category as on the scheduled date.

Education:

  • Diploma Trainee (Mining): The applicant must have passed 3 years Diploma in Mining & Mine Surveying with minimum of 60% marks
  • Diploma Trainee (Mechanical): The applicant must have passed 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 60% marks
  • Diploma Trainee (Instrumentation): The applicant must have passed 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum of 55% marks
  • Graduate Operational Trainee (CRD): The applicant must have passed B.Sc.(Chemistry)/ B.Sc.(Chemistry Hons) with Physics and Maths as subsidiary subjects with minimum 55% marks in aggregate
  • Graduate Operational Trainee (Physics): The applicant must have passed B.Sc.(Physics, Chemistry & Maths) with minimum 55% marks in aggregate
  • Operational Trainee (Electrical): The applicant must have passed Matriculation/ SSLC plus National Trade Certificate in the trade of Electrical with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% for ST/SC). The applicant must have completed 01(One) year Trade Apprenticeship training in any industry and passed in NAC examination
  • Operational Trainee (Winding Engine Driver): The applicant must have passed Intermediate Science/+2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths with minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) with proficiency in Computer Operation. The candidates must have to acquire 2nd Class Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency during training period and 1st Class Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency in the post of Winding Engine Driver-B.

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection process involves a Preliminary Selection on the basis of marks and followed by a process of Written Test/ Trade Test/ Interview.
  • Eligible candidates will be called for Interview process and the final selection will be made on the basis of merit performance.

  • The applicants need to ensure that they have chosen the correct stream/post and fill the right information on the application form accordingly.
  • The candidates have to enclose a Demand Draft Amounting to Rs.50 drawn in favor of Dy. General Manager(Personnel)-IRs, Uranium corporation of India Limited and Payable at Jharkhand.
  • The applications completed in all respect must be enclosed in an envelope along with the following certificates:

a)    Matriculation pass Certificate/ mark sheet

b)    ITI certificate / Diploma Certificate/ Graduation/ I.Sc. certificate with  Mark sheet

c)    Proof of Birth

d)    Caste Certificate (For SC, ST, OBC)

e)    Character Certificate from the last institution
