Selection process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination of 176 marks, and interview of 24 marks.
Qualification: Candidates must possess three years Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institution, or should have completed AMIE- Sections A&B examination with minimum 60% marks (pass mark for ST/ST/PWD).
Age Limit: The candidates should have attained 18 years of age and should not exceed 42 years as on 01-July-2016. However the relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale: The candidates will receive a scale of Rs.15600-39100/- with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month. Other allowances and perks will be applicable for the candidates as per the concerned departments.

Rs. 1500/- for general/ OBC category candidates, Rs. 750/- for SC/ ST category candidates. PwD candidates are exempted form payment of application fee. Applicants are suggested to pay the application fee in form of bank draft in favour of Secretary, Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education; payable at Dehradun.

- a. Technician Grade-II (Mechanical): Matriculation with Science and Mathematics and should have completed Certificate in Fitter Trade. Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- b. Technician Grade-II (Electrical): Matriculation with Science and Mathematics and should have completed Certificate in Electrical/ Electronics Trade. Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- c. Draftsman (Mechanical): Matriculation and should have completed Certificate in Mechanical Trade/ Mechanical Draftsmanship.
- d. Draftsman (Civil): Matriculation and should have completed Certificate in Civil Trade/ Civil Draftsmanship.
- e. Office Assistant-III (Accounts): Must be a Commerce Graduate with a typing speed of at least 6000 kdpm in Hindi or 7000 kdpm in English. Must have at least 1 year course certificate in Computer Education.
Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL)
- f. Assistant Engineer (Electrical – Trainee): 3 years Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering with at least 55% marks (pass mark for ST/ST/PWD)
- g. Assistant Engineer (Civil – Trainee): 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks (pass mark for ST/ST/PWD)
- h. Assistant Accountant: Graduation in Commerce with at least 2nd class and 1 year Diploma in Computer Application. Must have typing speed of 4000 kdpm in English
- i. Technician Grade-II (Electrician): Matriculation with Science and Mathematics and should have completed Certificate in Electrician Trade. Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- j. Stenographer Grade–III: Graduation in any discipline. Diploma in Stenography/ Secretarial Practice with Stenography Speed of 80 wpm in English or 60 wpm in Hindi. Must have typing speed of 7000 KDPM in Hindi or 9000 KDPM in English and should have completed 1 year Diploma in Computer Application.
- k. Office Assistant-III: Must be a Graduate with a typing speed of at least 6000 kdpm in Hindi or 7000 kdpm in English. Must have at least 1 year Diploma in Computer Application.
- l. Office Assistant-III (Accounts): Must be a Commerce Graduate with a typing speed of at least 6000 kdpm in Hindi or 7000 kdpm in English. Must have at least 1 year Diploma in Computer Application.
Technical Education Department (Workshop Instructor)
- m. Workshop Instructor: The candidates should have completed 3 years GSTS certificate in the concerned branch or should have completed Matriculation with Trade certificate in the concerned trade (GTI/ITI/Polytechnic). Must have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL):
- n. Technical Grade-II (Electrical): Matriculation with Science and Mathematics and should have completed Certificate in Electrician Trade. Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- o. Assistant Accountant: Graduation in Commerce with at least 2nd class and 1 year Diploma in Computer Application. Must have typing speed of 4000 kdpm in English
- p. Assistant Storekeeper: The candidates should have Graduation with Intermediate Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). Must have at least 1 year Diploma in Computer Application and typing speed of 4000 kdpm in English
NOTE: All candidates should have adequate knowledge of Hindi and should be familiar with Devnagari script.
Age of the candidates:
- The candidates should have attained 18 years of age and should not exceed 40 years as on 01-Jul-2013.
