TNPSC Advertisement No. 25 /2016: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission TNPSC invites applications from eligible male candidates for direct recruitment of the post of Jailor included in the Tamil Nadu Jail Service.
Jailor- 06 Vacancies, in the scale of pay Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination of 600 marks, and oral test of 80 marks.

Qualification: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised university. Candidates possess Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration, and Master’s degree in Social Work. will be preferred.
Candidates must have fulfill required physical standards, and possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, and Maximum 30 Years as on 01-July-2016. There will be no upper age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs candidates.
Registration Fee: Rs. 50/- (One Time Registration Fee) Applicants who have already registered in One Time Registration system paying Rs.50/- are exempted from paying the registration fee for this recruitment.
Examination Fee: Rs.125/-
The candidates are suggested to pay the application fee either through online mode using Net banking/ Credit card/ Debit card or through offline mode at State Bank of India/Indian Bank within two days of submission of application. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes are exempted from payment of application fee.
