Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of Sub-Inspector of Fisheries, and Foreman (Marine) vacancies under Tamil Nadu Fisheries Subordinate Service. Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam, Interview and Record.

Age Limit As on 01-July-2016: Minimum 18 Years, and Maximum 30 years for Sub-Inspector of Fisheries, and 35 years for Foreman (Marine) Positions.
Qualification:
Sub-Inspector of Fisheries- Candidates must possess a degree of Bachelor of Fisheries Science; or a Science degree with Zoology as main subject; or a diploma in Fisheries Technology and Navigation awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu; or a Certificate of successful
completion of the full course of Inland or Marine Fisheries classes conducted by the Government of India; or Associate Diploma in Fisheries Science of the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Bombay.
Foreman (Marine)- Candidates must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering; or Post-Diploma in Diesel Traction issued by the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education and Training; or diploma in Mechanical Engineering awarded by the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education and Training with minimum experience of two years in any workshop or in handling diesel engines.
Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
Fee: Candidates have to register their basic particulars through One-Time Registration which is mandatory on payment of Rs.50/- towards registration fee. The registration shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of one-time registration.
Candidates are suggested to pay examination fee of Rs.100/- through online mode. Candidates can avail exemption from paying Examination Fees as per eligibility criteria.
