Essential Eligibility Factors:
Age Limit: The candidate must be within the age group of 18-30 years (for general candidates) as on 1st of July 2018. There will be no upper age limit for privileged categories such as SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all Castes.
Academics: The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary/ Intermediate/ 10+2 examination from a recognised board.
Candidates must possess two years Diploma in Agriculture from the Institutions recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu or affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University; or Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindigul District; or any other institutions under the control of the Commissioner of Agriculture. Candidates should have adequate knowledge of Tamil as a language of communication.
Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level – 10 Rs.20600-65500/-
Physical Fitness: The candidates selected for the post of Assistant Agricultural Officer must produce a physical fitness certificate issued by a competent authority declaring his vision as Standard-III.
Registration Fee: Rs.150/- [One Time Online Registration (Revised with effect from 01.03.2017. Applicants who have already registered in One Time Online Registration system and are within the validity period of five years are exempted from payment of registration fee.]
Examination Fee: Rs. 100/-
Candidates can make the payment either online/ offline mode.
Online mode: In online mode, candidates can deposit the fee through the online payment gateway, i.e. Net banking, Credit card and Debit card.
Offline Mode: In offline mode, candidates take print out in the form of challan made and make the payment either in the SBI or in the Indian Bank within two working days from the date of registration/ submission of application.
Mode of Selection: Candidates will be selected based on Written Examination; and certificate verification.

Essential Eligibility Factors:
Age: The candidate must be within the age group of 18-30 years (for general candidates) as on 1st of July 2018. However the candidates who have obtained higher degree in Agriculture such as MSc (AG) or PhD will be allowed extension of 2 years in upper age limit.
There will be no upper age limit for privileged categories such as SC, ST, PWD, Women, Widows and Destitute.
Academics: The candidate must have obtained a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institution on or before 03-May-2018 and must possess adequate knowledge of Tamil as a language of communication.
Pay Scale and Remunerations: The candidates selected for Agricultural Officer (extension) will be entitled to get remuneration in the pay band of Rs. 37700- 119500 (Level 20) as per Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules 2017.
