Qualification- Eligibility Criteria
Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant (Non-Security), Junior Assistant (Security), Bill Collector Grade I, Field Surveyor, Draftsman: Candidates must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.
Typist: Candidates must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies. Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.
Steno-Typist: Candidates must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies. Candidates must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in Shorthand by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/Junior Grade in English (or) by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.
Note: Applicants should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil on the date of this Notification.
Age Limit:
For VILLAGE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER- Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years for General candidates as reckoned on 01-July-2017. There will be relaxation in upper age limit for privileged categories (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) as per rules.
For Junior Assistant (Non-Security), Junior Assistant (Security), Bill Collector Grade I, Field Surveyor, Draftsman, Typist and Steno-Typist (Grade III) POSTS- Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years for General candidates as reckoned on 01-July-2017. There will be relaxation in upper age limit for privileged categories (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) as per rules.
One Time Registration Fee: Rs. 150/-
Candidates have to Register their basic particulars through One Time Registration which is mandatory on payment of Rs.150/- towards registration fee.
Examination Fee: Rs.100/-
Candidates have to pay application fee through Online mode. SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Persons are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Selection Process: The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written examination of 300 marks (General Studies, Aptitude Test, and General Tamil/ General English); followed by Oral Test/ Interview.

Candidates can apply online by logging into the portal with the unique ID provided during registration. After submitting the application, candidates can print /save their application in PDF format. The Hall Tickets for eligible candidates will be made available in the Commission’s Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or
www.tnpscexams.net for downloading by candidates. No Hall Tickets will be sent by post.
