O/o Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Postal Circle, Chennai invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Multi Tasking Staff in various divisions of Subordinate Offices, and Administrative Offices of Tamil Nadu Post Circle. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.

Total Number of Vacancies: 127 Posts (General- 161, OBC- 53, SC- 12, ST- 01)
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 27-March-2016. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay Rs.1800/- (for offices except Foreign Post) and Rs. 1900/- (for Foreign Post) plus admissible allowances
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have possessed Matriculation or Equivalent or ITI from recognized Boards for administrative offices; and Matriculation or ITI from recognized Boards for Subordinate offices.
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- is mandatory for all candidates.
Examination Fee: Rs. 400/-
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Physically Handicapped/ Women are exempted from payment of Examination Fee.
Candidates are suggested to pay the Fee in form of system generated challan. The challan should be printed out and fee should be paid in cash in any of the Post Offices in Tamilnadu Circle having e-payment facility.
Selection Process: Aptitude Test
Aptitude Test of 100 marks (25 marks of general knowledge, 25 marks of mathematics, 25 marks of English language, and 25 marks of regional language that is Tamil) of the level of matriculation. Duration of Exam: 120 Minutes.
Qualifying Marks:
Minimum 9 marks for OBC candidates, 8 marks for SC candidates, and 10 marks for OC candidates, in each paper individually.
Minimum 37% marks for OBC candidates, 33% marks for SC candidates, and 40 % marks for OC candidates, in aggregate.

How to Apply: Application Eligible and Interested candidates are suggested to apply online only through official website at www.dopchennai.in/Apply.aspx. Candidate can apply for only one Division/Unit.
After registration, the system will generate a fee challan. The registered candidates should pay the required fee at any post office with E-Payment facility. After payment of fee, the candidate has to update the payment details in the website through LOGIN.
The application can be downloaded from the website after three Post Office working days of payment updation. Candidates are suggested to keep a copy of fee challan, receipt issued by the Post office and application, for future reference.
