Qualification: Candidates must have passed SSLC from a recognised institute. Candidates must possess three years Diploma in Automobile Engineering; or three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Candidates must hold a valid driving licence authorising him to drive Motor Cycle, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles. Candidates should have experience in driving Heavy Transport Vehicles for a Period of not less than six months after obtaining the licence.
Candidates should have minimum one year experience on vehicles fitted with Petrol Engines and Vehicles fitted with Diesel Engines on a full time basis in an Automobile workshop, undertakes repairs of Light Motor Vehicles, Heavy Goods Vehicles and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles.
Age Limit: (As on July 01, 2018)
For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all Castes – Min age 21 Years
For Others – Minimum Age 21 Years, Maximum Age – 32 Years
Selection Process: Written test followed by Oral Test. Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained by the applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together.
300 Marks of Paper I Diploma standard (200 Questions) of 3 hours
200 Marks of Paper II GENERAL STUDIES (100 Questions) of 2 hours
70 Marks of Interview and Records
Examination Centre: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai
Registration Fee: Rs. 150/-
Applicants who have already registered in One Time Registration system paying Rs. 50/- before 01-March-2017 and those who have registered for One-Time Registration on or after 01-March-2017 by paying Rs. 150/- within the validity period of 5 years are exempted from paying the registration fee for this recruitment.
Examination Fee: Rs.150/- The Examination fee should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes, Differently Abled Persons, and Destitute Widow of all communities are exempted from payment of examination fee.
