State Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of clerical cadre positions in SBI and it’s associate banks for the year 2016-2017. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State and for one post only. The candidates who are finally selected for appointment will have to serve concerned bank for a probation period of six from the date of their joining.

Essential Requirements:
Age Limit: The aspirant must not be under 20 years and over 28 years as on 01st of April 2016. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification:
Junior Associates: The aspirants must have obtained Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
Junior Agricultural Associates : The aspirants must have obtained Graduation Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognised university/ Institute.
Note: Those who are in the final Semester/ year of Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview/joining, they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation Examination on or before 30-June-2016. The aspirants must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage for the aspirants.

Selection Process: The selection of candidates will be done through Online test (preliminary and main examinations), test of official and/or local language and subject to Government of India approval, Interview.
Phase I, Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of three Sections as English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks, in order to appear for the Main Examination.
Phase II, Main Examination: Main Examination consisting of four Sections as General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude.
Phase III, Interview (subject to Government of India approval)
The final selection of candidates will be based on marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in Interview (Phase-III) (if interview is held).
