Great Career Ahead with SSC Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator Examination, 2023
Candidates seeking career in Languages have huge possibilities in Junior Translators posts offered by Staff Selection Commission. These posts come under department of official languages of Central Secretariat Official Language and various government departments. Candidate will be appointed as a translator who has expertise in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa. Those who possess Master Degree with either Hindi or English as an elective subject are eligible to apply. Additional requirement is for certification in translation in both languages or two years experience in same.
The SSC JHT 2023 online registration will be open from 22nd August 2023.
Staff Selection Commission will hold a combined All India Open Competitive Examination for Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator Positions; in the year 2023.
SSC Recruitment 2023-24 For
A) Junior Hindi Translator in Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS),
B) Junior Translator in M/o Railways (Railway Board),
C) Junior Translator in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ),
D) Junior Translator/ Junior Hindi Translator in subordinate offices who have adopted Model RRs of DoP&T,
E) Senior Hindi Translator in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices
The details of the recruitment procedure are as follows:
Written Examination will consist of two papers of 400 marks [Paper I (Objective Type) question of 200 marks from General Hindi and English topics; Paper- II (Conventional Type) of 200 marks from Translation and Essay].
Paper-I (Objective Type) (Computer Based Mode) – 200 marks from General Hindi and English topics
Paper-II (Conventional Type) (Descriptive) – 200 marks from Translation and Essay
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination (Paper-I& Paper-II) only. There will be no interview.

Education Qualification: The candidate must have the following qualification to be eligible for the job positions:
For Post Codes “A” to “D”, and Post Code “E”: The applicants must possess Master‟s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
Master‟s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
Master‟s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level; OR
Master‟s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
Master‟s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level.
Candidates must also have completed Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years experience (three years of experience in case of Post Code E) of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
Age Specification: Applicant must not have exceeded 30 years of age as on 01-January-2023. However, the relaxation in upper age is applicable as per rules for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex-SM and other deserving candidates.

Unreserved (General) and OBC category candidates: Rs. 100/- only
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with disability and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
