Staff selection commission is ready to announce for the latest recruitment in the coming year 2013 for the post of Junior Hindi translators in Subordinates and other offices exam. Since SSC is the governmental organization responsible for carrying out the recruitments for various government departments. This time it is recruiting for the Department of official language for the Junior Hindi Translator.
Candidates qualified Master’s Degree in Hindi and English or a diploma holder in translation from English to Hindi and vice versa can apply for the post. Various allowances and age relaxations are provided for the applicants as per governments’ policies. The recruitments process of the post includes written test, Personality test or interview. Let us review the pattern of examination for the post by SSC.
Examination pattern
The selection procedure includes two successive stages
- Test 1-Written test of 400 marks
- Test 2-Interview or Personality Test of 100 marks
Test 1 is further divided into 2 papers. Paper 1 is for General Hindi and General English. Part 2 covers the question of Translation & Essay of 2 passages. Test 2 is systematized test for personality test that includes knowledge, aptitude, suitability tests etc appropriate for the post. Candidates clearing the Test 1 will be shortlisted for the test 2.
Syllabus:-
Paper –I (Test 1):-This test covers the general Hindi and English topics that the applicant must be aware of. The questions will be like Error recognition, vocabulary, grammar, fill in the blanks, spelling, synonyms, anonyms, idioms etc.
Paper -2(Test 1):-The translation and essay paper contains two passages for translation. One to be translated in English while other to be translated in Hindi. Besides, an essay in English and Hindi is to be written by the candidates.

SSC has issued the plan for next year and it is about to undertake the recruitment according to the same plan and dates announced.
