Great Opportunities Offered by SSC Departmental Exams 2013
Besides all competitive exams for recruitment under various ministries and offices of government, SSC also holds departmental exams. These exams are primarily concerned with recruitments related to different divisions. Name of exams along with their purpose are given below:
- Clerks’ Grade (for Multi Tasking Staff only) Examination – Promotion from Group D to Lower Division Clerk (LDC) Grade,
- Upper Div. Clerk Ltd. Departmental Competitive Exam – Promotion from LDC to Upper Division Clerk Grade and
- Grade `C’ Stenographers Ltd. Departmental Competitive Exam – Promotion from Stenographers Grade D to Stenographers Grade C.
Eligible candidates for post of stenographers must possess a minimum qualification of 10+2. Candidates applying for clerk’s posts must have completed matriculation while UDC candidate’s qualification requirement will be same as of LDC.
Selection procedures
Candidates appearing for UDC exams will have to undergo a skill test organised by commission. On the other hand candidates of other departmental exams will be recruited on the basis of their performance in written test and interview. How to apply
Except UDC recruitment exams all other exams will require online application submission on SSC website. Applicants of UDC must post their duly filled application in prescribed format to the mentioned address. Clerks and stenographers aspirants can submit their applications online in two phases. In first part of registration candidates is asked to fill his basic information for registration purpose. Second part is only processed after the submission of application fee. It will be the final application after which candidate is required to take a printout of it for future use.
