Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) for Data Entry Operators & LDCs Examination, 2013 – A boon for Under Graduates
Every year thousands of candidates appear for different SSC exams. Nevertheless exam that gains most interest of candidates is Combined Higher Secondary Exam. This exam is conducted primarily for recruitment of Lower Division Clerks and Data Entry Operators in various divisions of central government. Many aspirants get their dream jobs through this exam which also pays a sufficient amount for salary. Candidates of Data Entry Operator are offered salary of Pay Band – I with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400 & Rs. 1900 whereas Lower Division Clerks receive salary in Pay Band – I with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900. All recruitments under this exam are done for various Central government departments, ministries and sub ordinate offices. However all offered posts carry All India Service Liability which implies that selected candidate can be asked to serve in any region of country.
How to apply
All applicants will be required to fill online applications and send their printouts to the commission before mentioned date. They may also require to enclose all required documents related to their education, age and caste. Although before filling online application candidate must submit his application fee. Application fee will only be entertained in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps only.
Syllabus for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) for Data Entry Operators & LDCs Examination, 2013
Selection of eligible candidates will comprise of written test followed by skill test meant for Data Entry Operators and typing test meant for LDCs. Written test is comprised of four different sections carrying 50 marks each. Total duration of completing paper would be 2 hours. These four sections will include:
- General Intelligence
- English Language
- Quantitative Aptitude
- General Awareness
For Skill Test candidates should possess a typing speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer in order to appear eligible.
Similarly for Typing Test candidates of English medium must have 10500 key depressions per hour while Hindi medium candidates have 9000 key depressions per hour.
Negative marking of 0.25 marks shall be done as penalty for each wrong answer.
Tentative Schedule for Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam
SSC has published notification regarding revised tentative schedule for all its exams. According to that dates for CHSL 2013 would be as follows:
- Date of notification: 06-07-2013
- Last date for application: 02-08-2013
- Examination Date: 20-10-2013, 27-10-2013 & 03-11-2013
