Educational Qualification Criteria:
- Seaman: Candidates must have passed 10th (matriculation), and have three years service on sea going mechanized vessel with two years in helsman and seamanship work.
- Senior Deck Hand: Candidates must have passed 8th standard, and have five years service on sea going vessel with two years in helsman and seamanship work.
- Sukhani: Candidates must have passed 8th standard, and have 7 years service on sea going vessel.
- Skipper Mate: Candidates must have passed 10th (matriculation) or equivalent, and holder of 2nd of finishing vessel certificate by MMD, and have five years sea experience.
- Engine Driver: Candidates must have passed 8th standard, and have ten years service on sea going vessel with 5 year independent auxillary machinery.
- Engineer Mate: Candidates must have passed 10th (matriculation) or equivalent and holder of engine driver of fishing vessel certificate issued by MMD, and five years sea experience.
- Trades Man: Candidates must have passed 10th (matriculation) or equivalent, and have ITI certificate in relevant trade. Candidates should have two years experience in FRB fibre class reinforce plastic lamination and repair work.
Age Limit As n 07-July-2015:
Seaman, Trades Man:Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years
Senior Deck Hand, Sukhani, Skipper Mate, Engineer Mate: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years
Engine Driver: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 35 years
Pay Scale:
Seaman: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
Senior Deck Hand: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
Sukhani: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-
Skipper Mate: Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
Engine Driver: 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-
Engineer Mate: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2800/-
Trades Man: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-
Selection Process: Selection process will be based on written exam, interview and/ or skill test.
