Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Constable (Driver, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier) Posts in Group ‘C’. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), documentation, trade test, and written examination. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of India.

Eligibility Criteria:-
Constable (Driver)- Candidates must have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, and must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving license.
Constable (Carpenter, Painter, Veterinary, Blacksmith, Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier, Tailor, Gardner, Cobbler)- Candidates must have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, and possess two years Diploma from recognized Industrial Training Institute in the relevant trade; OR One year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; OR Two years work experience in respective trade. Candidates must qualify trade test.
Age Limit As on Last Date for receipt of Applications:
For Constable (Driver) Position: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 27 years
For Constable (Cook, Washerman, Barber, Safaiwala, Water Carrier, Tailor, Gardner, Cobbler) Positions: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 23 years
For Constable (Carpenter, Painter, Veterinary, Blacksmith) Positions: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years
However, relaxation n upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale: Rs. 21700-69100/- Pay Matrix Level- 3
Examination Fee: General and OBC category candidates are suggested to pay examination fee of Rs. 100/- through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking OR E-challan
