Indian Economic Conditions:
Indian economy, in terms of nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is eleventh in the world and is third largest in Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) terms. Then in 1990’s, came the era of liberalization and quickly turned things around for the country. The Seventh Pay Commission headed by Justice AK Mathur, submitted its report to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, suggesting 23.55% Hike in Pay and Allowances of Government Employees. The hike will be effective from 01-January-2016. The recommendations will be examined and the government will take a final decision on this. As per recommendation;
At present the Minimum salary is Rs. 7,000/- per month. After implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendation, the Minimum Salary would be Rs. 18,000/- per month.
The Maximum Salary recommended is Rs. 2.50 lakh per month.
The 7th Pay Commission has recommended the Rate of Annual Increment @ 3%.
The 7th Pay Commission recommended 24% Hike in Pensions.
The 7th Pay Commission proposed One Rank One Pension for civilian government employees on line of OROP for armed forces.

January-2016: “The government of India has completed the entire process to do away with interviews for lower rank jobs. There will be no requirement of interview for Group D, C, and B non-gazatted posts in central government. It will come into effect from 01-January-2016,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
Types of Sarkari Naukri (सरकारी नौकरी):
There are basically two types of ‘Sarkari Naukri’ that is offered in various divisions by the government every year. One is the Central Government jobs that pertain to Central Government controlled departments in institutions like Banking and Finance Regulatory Authorities (Reserve Bank of India), Banking sector portfolio (Nationalized Banks, Commercial Credit Laundering Systems under the Government of India), Income Tax, Military or Armed Forces, Central Railways, Judiciary Departments etc. The other department from where government offers jobs is the State Government jobs specific to the state controlled departments like the Educational Institutions, Forest and Animal Husbandry, State owned Financial Institutions (Credit Cooperative Banks), etc.
