Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) is one of the modernized integrated steel plants of SAIL, employing a motivated workforce of around 12000 employees, is producer of Wheel & Axle for Railways, Structural for construction and semis in the form of Blooms and Billets. With the recent notification from Durgapur Steel Plant, SAIL invites competent applications from individuals to join this vicious workforce as an Operator-Cum-Technician-Trainee, Attendant-Cum-Technician-Trainee, and Medical Service Provider Trainee. Pay Scale Provisions:
- OCTT: The selected applicants will be eligible for a stipend of Rs.10700 per month in the first year of their training and Rs.12200 in the second year of their training. After successful completion they will be eligible to receive a scale pay in the range of Rs.9160-Rs.13150 in the S-3 Grade with annual increment of 3%.
- ACTT: The selected applicants will be eligible for a stipend of Rs.8600 per month in the first year of their training and Rs.10000 in the second year of their training. After successful completion they will be eligible to receive a scale pay in the range of Rs.8630-Rs.12080 in the S-1 Grade with annual increment of 3%.
- MSPT: The selected applicants will be eligible for a stipend of Rs.10700 per month in the first year of their training and Rs.12200 in the second year of their training. After successful completion they will be eligible to receive a scale pay in the range of Rs.9160-Rs.13150 in the S-3 Grade with annual increment of 3%.
Academic Requirements:
- Operator-Cum-Technician-Trainee (Grade-S-3): The applicants should have completed 3 years full time Diploma in Engineering in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Electronics / Chemical Engineering disciplines.
- Attendant-Cum-Technician-Trainee (Grade-S-1): The applicants should have completed Matriculation and ITI (full time) in relevant trades (Fitter / Electrician / Welder / Plumbing).
- Medical Service Provider-Trainee: The applicants should have completed 10+2 (Science) / Higher Secondary (Science) with full time Bachelor Degree in Paramedical Technology (in concerned disciplines) or with minimum 2 years full time Diploma in concerned disciplines from any Govt. recognized Institute. Must have 1 year post-qualification experience in concerned disciplines.
- Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation): The applicants should have completed 3 years full time Diploma in Engineering along with either First Class or Second Class certificate of Boiler Competency.
- Attendant-cum-Technician (Cable Jointing): The applicants should have completed Matriculation with full time ITI (Electrical) from Govt. recognized Institute with cable jointing license from State Licensing Board for cables up to 33 KV or equivalent. Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
Age Criteria:
- Operator-Cum-Technician-Trainee: The applicant should be within maximum 28 years of age as on 1-Nov-2013
- Attendant-Cum-Technician-Trainee: The applicant should be within maximum 28 years of age as on 1-Nov-2013
- Medical Service Provide-Trainee & Trainee Nursing: The applicant should be within maximum 28 years of age as on 1-Nov-2013
- Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation): The applicant should be within maximum 30 years of age as on 1-Nov-2013
- Attendant-cum-Technician (Cable Jointing): The applicant should be within maximum 30 years of age as on 1-Nov-2013
- Note: However, age will be relaxable for the SC, ST, OBC, PWD and Ex-sm as per rules

- For OCTT/ MSPT/ MSPT-Nursing:

Training Period:
- The applicants selected for the job will be inducted in a Training Duration expanding over a minimum of 2 years. This may be further expanded if desired by SAIL.
- After successful completion of the training period the candidates will be inducted as technicians in the same scale of S-3/S-1 and will be under probation for another period of 1 year.
