Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC) is a Schedule ‘A’ Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of Ministry of Power engaged in financing and promotion of generation, transmission & distribution projects throughout India. Over the years, the company has witnessed phenomenal growth with net worth of Rs.14,744 cr. in FY 2011-12. The Company also has a Training Institute in Hyderabad by the name ‘Central Institute for Rural Electrification (CIRE)’ which caters to the training and development needs of Power Sector employees both from India & abroad.

  1. General Manager (Law)Grade – E-8 – 1 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs.51300-Rs.73000 – Max 54 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 3 years Degree in Law (LLB) Degree in 5 years integrated course in Law with at least II division. Candidates having LLM will be offered advantage – Experience – Min 22 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience
  2. Dy Manager (Law)Grade – E-4 – 1 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs.32900-Rs.58000 – Max 38 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 3 years Degree in Law (LLB) Degree in 5 years integrated course in Law with at least II division. Candidates having LLM will be offered advantage – Experience – Min 06 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.
  3. Assistant Manager (Law)Grade – E-3 – 2 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs. 29100-Rs.54500 – Max 35 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 3 years Degree in Law (LLB) Degree in 5 years integrated course in Law with at least II division. Candidates having LLM will be offered advantage – Experience – Min 04 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.
  4. Dy Manager (CS)Grade – E-4 – 2 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs.32900-Rs.58000 – Max 38 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – Graduate with Associate/ Fellow Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. A candidate should have 3 years Law Degree/ CA/ ICWA – Experience – Min 06 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.
  5. Assistant Manager (CS)Grade – E-3 – 1 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs. 29100-Rs.54500 – Max 35 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – Graduate with Associate/ Fellow Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. A candidate should have 3 years Law Degree/ CA/ ICWA – Experience – Min 04 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.
  6. Director CIRE (Equiv to GM)Grade – E-8 – 1 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs.51300-Rs.73000 – Max 52 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 1st Class (60%) B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical or equivalent. ME/MTech/PGDM/MBA is desirable – Experience – Min 20 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience. Ability to run a full-fledged institute.
  7. Faculty CIRE (Equiv to Manager)Grade – E-5 – 2 Post (UR) – Pay Scale – Rs.36600-Rs.62000 – Max 40 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 1st Class (60%) B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical or equivalent. MTech is desirable – Experience – Min 8 years of good training and teaching experience
  8. General Manager (Engineering)Grade – E-8 – 2 Post (OBC-NCL) – Pay Scale – Rs.51300-Rs.73000 – Max 52 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 1st Class (60%) B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical or equivalent. MBA/ IT applications/ MTech is desirable – Experience – Min 20 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience
  9. Dy. General Manager (Engineering)Grade – E-7 – 1 Post (ST) – Pay Scale – Rs.51300-Rs.73000 – Max 48 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 1st Class (60%) B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical or equivalent. MBA/ IT applications/ MTech is desirable – Experience – Min 15 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience

10. Chief Manager (Engineering)Grade – E-6 – 1 Post (OBC-NCL) – Pay Scale – Rs. 43200-Rs.66000 – Max 45 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 1st Class (60%) B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical or equivalent. MBA/ IT applications/ MTech is desirable – Experience – Min 12 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.

11. Dy. General Manager (Finance & Accounts)Grade – E-7 – 1 Post (SC) – Pay Scale – Rs.51300-Rs.73000 – Max 48 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – Graduation with CA/ ICWA – Experience – Min 15 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience

12. Chief Manager (Finance & Accounts)Grade – E-6 – 1 Post (ST) – Pay Scale – Rs. 43200-Rs.66000 – Max 45 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – Graduation with CA/ ICWA – Experience – Min 12 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.

13. Accounts OfficerGrade – E-2 – 1 Post (ST) – Pay Scale – Rs. 24900-Rs.50500 – Max 30 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – Graduation with CA/ ICWA – Experience – Min 2 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.

14. Officer HRGrade – E-2 – 2 Post (OBC-NCL) – Pay Scale – Rs. 24900-Rs.50500 – Max 30 years as on 28-Feb-2013 – Academics – 1st class and Full time MBA/ Post Graduate Degree/Diploma with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations/ Human Resource Management. Preferably should have a Law Degree (LLB) – Experience – Min 2 years of Post-qualification Executive Experience.

Note: Rugulation of relaxation for SC/ST and OBC will be applicable as per rules.

  • The candidates applying for these positions will have to submit the an application fee of Rs.500 (only for UR and OBC-NCL category) while sending their hardcopy of application along with all necessary credentials.
  • The fees should be paid in favor of “Rural Electrification Corporation Limited and payable at New Delhi”. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
  • The fees is to be paid through Demand Draft from a nationalized bank.
