DRDO Recruitment 2013 for Scientists & Civil Officers through Recruitment And Assessment Centre (RAC)

Working under the Ministry of Defence, GOI, the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) is working in various areas of research and development of military technology which include armaments, naval systems, instrumentation engineering systems, aeronautics, electronics, missiles, combat vehicles, advanced computing, simulation and life sciences. DRDO is mostly responsible for development of cutting-edge weapons and technology warfare requirements for the defence of the nation and strengthening security measures.

With the recent initiative, the DRDO is inviting competent candidature through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), for various positions of Scientists in DRDS (Defence Research & Development Services) cadre,  and Civil Works Officers cadre.

• Scientist ‘D’: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 & Grade Pay Rs.7600

Age requirements:

• Scientist ‘G’: The applicants should not exceed 50 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘F’: The applicants should not exceed 50 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘E’: The applicants should not exceed 45 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘D’: The applicants should not exceed 45 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘C’: The applicants should not exceed 35 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘B’: The applicants should not exceed 28 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Addl CCE (Civil Works Officer): The applicants should not exceed 50 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• However, there will be relaxation as per rules.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

1. Scientist ‘G’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/ Aeronautical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication Engineering with 15 years of experience.
2. Scientist ‘F’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Metallurgy Engineering with 13 years of experience.
3. Scientist ‘E’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Naval Architecture/ Naval Construction/ Metallurgy/ Marine Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Civil Engineering with 10 years of experience.
4. Scientist ‘E’: At least First class Master’s Degree in Materials Science or First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Metallurgy only with 10 years of experience.
5. Scientist ‘E’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Metallurgy Engineering with 10 years of experience.
6. Scientist ‘E’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/ Marine Engineering with 10 years of experience.
7. Scientist ‘E’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical/ Marine Engineering with 10 years of experience.
8. Scientist ‘E’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in Naval Architecture with 10 years of experience.

11. Scientist ‘D’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engg./Technology in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication Engineering only with 7 years of experience.
12. Scientist ‘C’: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engg./Technology in Civil Engineering only with 3 years of experience.
13. Scientist ‘C’: At least First class Master’s Degree in Physics/ Bio Physics with 3 years of experience.
14. Scientist ‘B’: At least First class Master’s Degree in Psychology
15. Addl CCE (Civil Works Officer): Bachelor’s Degree in Engg./Technology in Civil Engineering and with 10 years of experience.

Application Fees:

• The candidates have to remit a non-refundable fee of Rs.50 in shape Online Bank Transfer only
• The SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fees.
• Cheque/ Draft/ Money Orders/ any other form of fees will NOT be accepted in any condition

Selection Process:

The suitability of the applicants will be assessed on the basis of educational qualification possessed, experience at suitable level, professional achievements, aptitude for research etc.
