Essential Qualification & Experience:
A: Part I ‐ Screening Based on Valid GATE 2015/ 2016/ 2017 Score:
Candidates must possess First Class Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline from a recognized university or equivalent, and must have Valid GATE score card (GATE 2015/2016/2017).
Candidates applying for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Discipline, must possess Master’s Degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics from a recognized University or equivalent, and must have Valid GATE score card (GATE 2015/2016/2017).
B: Part II ‐ Screening Based on Percentage of Marks in Essential Qualification:
Candidates must possess First Class Master’s Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University or equivalent, in case applying for Material Science, Polymer Science, Atmospheric Science, Physical Oceanography, Psychology Discipline Positions.
Candidates must possess First Class Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline from a recognized university or equivalent, in case applying for Automobile Engineering, Ceramic Engineering Discipline Positions.
Application Fees: The candidates have to remit a non-refundable fee of Rs.100 through online mode only. The SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fees.
Selection Process:
For Subjects/ Disciplines in Part I- The final selection of the candidates will be purely on the basis of discipline wise category wise merit of aggregate of 80% weightage of GATE score and 20% weightage of marks in personal interview.
For Subjects/ Disciplines in Part II- Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Exam, and personal interview, in the manner of 80% weightage of written test and 20% weightage in personal interview marks.
Note- For consideration for selection, a candidate appearing in the Personal Interview need to secure minimum qualifying marks of 70% for General candidates and 60% for OBC/SC/ST/PwD candidates.
