Electricity Department, Government of Puducherry, invites applications from eligible candidates (residents/ natives of the union territory of Puducherry) for recruitment of Construction Helper (Work-Charged) Posts. Selected candidates will be eligible to get the scale of pay Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/- and usual allowances.

Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation/ S.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination; and have two year craftsmanship certificate in the electrician/ wire man trade issued by the ministry of labour and employment, government of India.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 32 years as on 06-July-2015. There is three years of relaxation in upper age limit for MBC/ OBC/ EBC/ BCM/ BT category candidates, and five years of relaxation in upper age limit for SC category candidates. Ex-serviceman, DAP, and MSP candidates will get the relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.
