The Prasar Bharati (PB), is a statutory autonomous body established under the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act 1990. It is India’s largest broadcaster and comprises Doordarshan & All India Radio.
With the recent announcement from Prasar Bharti, it intend to invite candidature from the open mass, to join on creative positions of Programmer, Creative Editor, Content Manager and Senior Content Managers in Doordarshan. - Senior Content Manager: 01 Post (For Supervision of Website Contents)
- Content Manager (Intern): 03 Posts (For Content Management)
- Creative Editor (Intern-Theater): 01 Post (For editing visuals as per graphic requirements. For designing and creating graphics and multimedia animations)
- Creative Editor (Intern-Dance): 01 Post (For editing visuals as per graphic requirements. For designing and creating graphics and multimedia animations)
- Creative Editor (Intern-Music): 01 Post (For editing visuals as per graphic requirements. For designing and creating graphics and multimedia animations)
- Creative Editor (Intern-TV Production): 01 Post (For editing visuals as per graphic requirements. For designing and creating graphics and multimedia animations)
- Programmer (Intern): 01 Post (For office animations via software support and technical integration of contents)
NOTE: Number of vacancies may be differed during actual engagement
Pay provisions:
- Senior Content Manager: The candidates joining Doordarshan on this cadre will receive a consolidated remuneration in the scale of Rs.33000 per month with allowances as applicable.
- For all other posts: The candidates joining Doordarshan on this cadre will receive a consolidated remuneration ranging in between Rs.15000 to Rs.20000 per month with allowances as applicable.
Essential Criteria for Qualification and Experience:
- Senior Content Manager: The candidates must have PG Degree/ Diploma in Journalism/ Production or Degree/ Diploma in Computer Application with 4 years of experience in managing/ working with reputed websites/ social media platforms.
- Content Manager (Intern): The candidates must have PG Degree/ Diploma in Journalism/ Production.
- Creative Editor (Intern-Theater): The candidates must have Professional Training and Degree in the field of Theater.
- Creative Editor (Intern-Dance): The candidates must have Professional Training and Degree in the field of Dance.
- Creative Editor (Intern-Music): The candidates must have Professional Training and Degree in the field of Music with knowledge of Music.
- Creative Editor (Intern-TV Production): The candidates must have Post-Graduate Degree in Literature and should have experience/exposure in Film Production.
- Programmer: The candidates must have completed BTech/ MCA.
Period of Deputation:
- For all these posts, the period of contract will be intimated to the successful applicants in due course.
Selection Procedure:
- The selection will be done through the performance in the Walk-In Interview and as per the guidelines of Doordarshan.
