As the apex authority for all public sector recruitments for the state of Punjab the PPSC (Punjab Public Service Commission), is functioning as the nodal agency in line with the guidelines of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). With its recent recruitment advertisement number 01 for the year 2014, the PPSC is inviting Online Applications from desirous and eligible candidates for 12 various posts in its own functioning office at Patiala. The last date for receipt of application is 24-Apr-2014.

Pay Scale:
- System Analyst: The applicants selected for these posts will receive a remuneration in the scale of PB-III with Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.5700 per month.
- Senior Assistant: The applicants selected for these posts will receive a remuneration in the scale of PB-II with Rs.10300 – Rs.34800 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.4400 per month.
- Accountant: The applicants selected for these posts will receive a remuneration in the scale of PB-II with Rs.10300 – Rs.34800 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.4400 per month.
- Senior Scale Stenographer: The applicants selected for these posts will receive a remuneration in the scale of PB-II with Rs.10300 – Rs.34800 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.4400 per month.
- Programmer: The applicants selected for these posts will receive a remuneration in the scale of PB-II with Rs.10300 – Rs.34800 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.3800 per month.

Age:
- The applicants should be above 18 years and should not be above 38 years by 01-Jan-2014 to be eligible to apply.
- However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit as per rules only for the candidates from Punjab and all States/ Central Government employees.
Education:
- System Analyst: The applicants should have completed ME/ MTech/ BE/ BTech/ DOEACC Level-B/C/ MBA in IT with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The candidates should have at least 2/3 years of experience as per his educational qualification. (for details review the detailed advertisement)
- Senior Assistant: The applicants should be a Graduate in any discipline and should have completed a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ Level Certificate from DOEACC. He should have completed a Computer Course of minimum 120 hours and should have hands on experience in use of Personal Computers in Office Productivity Applications/ DTP, etc.
- Accountant: The applicants should have passed Intermediate Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants and should have passed Examination of Institute of cost and works and have an experience of working as Accountant for a minimum period of one year in a reputed firm or institution.
- Senior Scale Stenographer: The applicants should be a Graduate in any discipline and should have passed a test in Punjabi Stenography. The candidate should have completed a Computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ Level Certificate from DOEACC. He should have completed a Computer Course of minimum 120 hours and should have hands on experience in use of Personal Computers in Office Productivity Applications/ DTP, etc.

- Data Base Administrator: The applicants should have completed BE/ BTech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronics and Communications/ MSc/ MCA/ DOEACC B or C level with first division. He/ she should have at least 3-4 years of experience as database Administration of Oracle & SQL Server on UNIX or LINUX or Windows based Server. (for details review the detailed advertisement)
- Network Engineer: : The applicants should have completed BE/ BTech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronics and Communications/ MSc/ MCA/ DOEACC B or C level with first division. He/ she should have at least 2-3 years experience in configuration & troubleshooting or network devices like routers, switches, firewall, modems, CISCO IDS, CISCO works, network protocols like TCP or IP, Ethernet, security Protocols or interfaces. He/ She should have CCNA/ CCNP qualification along with experience of handling network of minimum 59 computers.
NOTE: Qualification of Punjabi is essential for all the above mentioned posts.
Mode of Selection:
- Final selection of a candidate will be made solely on the basis of his/her performance in the Screening Test, Written Examination (if any), and Viva-voice on merit basis
