PGCIL Advertisement No. SR-II/2021/01– Southern Region Transmission System-II, PGCIL, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Diploma Trainee (Electrical) Positions for Southern Region Transmission System-II having transmission network in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu & UT of Puducherry and Raigarh-Pugalur HVDC Project.

Date of Written Test: 22-August-2021
Selection process: Written Test/ Computer Based Test to be conducted at Bangalore, Chennai, Madurai and Kochi. Written Test shall be of Objective Type of two hours duration.
Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions of respective discipline. Part-II consists of Aptitude Test with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, ability to determine data sufficiency, interpretation of graphs/charts/tables, numerical ability etc.
Qualification:
Diploma Trainee (Electrical)- Candidates must possess full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical board /institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST candidates.
Discipline: Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical)
Upper Age Limit As on 14-March-2016: 27 years for general candidates, 30 years for OBC (NCL) candidates, and 32 years for SC/ ST category candidates. However, further relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale:
Candidates selected for Diploma Trainee, will be on training for a period of one year with an stipend of Rs. 27500/- per month. On successful completion of training period, candidates will be appointed as Junior Engineer- Grade IV at S1 level in Supervisory category.

Note: Candidates also has to pay bank charges
SC/ ST/ PwD/ Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
