PNB Recruitment Project For Officers In Various Capacities Under JMGS-I And MMGS –II & III

Punjab National Bank (PNB) being amongst the leading nationalised banks in India since its inception in 1895. Presently headquartered at New Delhi, this bank enjoys a huge customer base and significant financial turnovers, this bank is still devoted to the quality of customer support at all spheres of its operation. In order to address the changing needs of personal banking, this bank is now recruiting a huge workforce to carry out various commercial activities in the country and abroad.

To cater to the burgeoning customer base, the Punjab National Bank recruitment involves people at the probationary officers and clerical level. There is also some Specialist Officers recruited in the bank in recent years. With the fresh notification released by the bank, there are presently 740 vacancies notified for recruitment into JMGS-I and MMGS-II & III cadres.

The details of the various vacancies and the essential eligibility criteria for application are detailed underneath:

Total Number of vacancies with reservation status:

JMGS-I – Total – 121 out of which 19 posts reserved for SC, 9 for ST and 32 for OBC

MMGS-II – Total – 618 out of which 91 posts reserved for SC, 46 for ST and 164 for OBC

MMGS-III – Total – 1 which is open to all

TOTAL number of Vacancies: 740 out of which 9 are reserved for OC, 22 for HI and 21 for HI candidates under PWD category (proportionately from all three categories)

Details of Eligibility Norms and Pay Scale:

1.    Post Code – 01 – Senior Manager (Law) – MMGS-III – 01 post – Rs.25700 – Rs.31500 – Age – 21-30 years – Academics – 1^st Class in LLB with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate – Experience – 3 years in the Law Division/ International Banking Division of PSU/ Bank (for NLU Graduates) or, Minimum 5 years in the Law Division/ International Banking Division of PSU/ Bank Or 05 years practice in DRT/ District/ Higher level court (for Other Law University graduates)

2.    Post Code – 02 – Manager (Credit) – MMGS-II – 600 posts – Rs.19400 – Rs.28100 – Age – 21-30 years – Academics – Either CA/ ICWA OR, MBA/ PGDM with specialization in Finance only (regular course) with minimum of 75% marks in aggregate & consistent 60% or above marks from Sr. Secondary onwards

3.    Post Code – 03 – Manager (Security) – MMGS-II – 18 posts – Rs.19400 – Rs.28100 – Age – Max 32 years – Academics – Graduation in any discipline – Experience – As an Officer with 5 years Commissioned Service in Indian Army/ Navy/ Air Force OR, as a Police Officer not below the rank of Asst. Supdt. of Police/ Dy. Supdt. of Police OR, Officers of identical work in Para-Military forces.

4.    Post Code – 04 – Officer (Librarian) – JMGS-I – 1 post – Rs.14500 – Rs.25700 – Age – 21-28 years – Academics – Bachelors Degree in any discipline with M.Lib.I.Sc. and working knowledge of MS-Office OR, Bachelors Degree in Library Science with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate

5.    Post Code – 05 – Fire Officer – JMGS-I – 11 posts – Rs.14500 – Rs.25700 – Age – 25-40 years – Academics – Bachelors Degree AND, Sub-Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and possessing knowledge of Mandatory requirements of providing fire protection and prevention in high rise business buildings as per National Building Code and Bureau of Indian Standards – Experience – 3 years as a Sub-Officer in State/ Central/ Defence Fire Services OR, Fire Safety Officer in a recognized establishment

10. Post Code – 10 – Hindi Officer – JMGS-I – 51 posts – Rs.14500 – Rs.25700 – Age – 21-30 years – Academics – Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at Degree level OR, Post graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects in Degree level – Experience – Valid IBPS Score Card

• Relaxation in upper age limit for privileged class is admissible as per rules

• Selection for post codes 08 & 09 will be through CWE conducted by IBPS and/ or interview
