With the recent notification from the Postgraduate Institute Of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, vacancies have been notified in the profiles of Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts on regular basis. The application form will be available on PGIMER website from 05-August, 2014 onwards for applying against these vacancies.

Pay Scale:

  • For Posts in Sr.No.1 & 2: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-III in the range of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.6600 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.3, 4 & 5: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-III in the range of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.5400 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.6 & 7: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4800 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.8, 9, 10 & 11: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4600 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.12 to 22: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.23: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2800 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.24 & 25: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2400 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.26: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900 per month.
  • For Posts in Sr.No.27: The candidates selected against these posts will be eligible to receive a monthly remuneration in the scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1800 per month.
  • Other allowances and perks will be applicable for these posts as per PGI, Chandigarh regulations.

Mode of Appointment:

  • The candidates selected against these posts will be engaged in a regular basis with PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Age of the candidates:

  • For Posts in Sr.No.1:  A candidate must not have crossed 50 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.
  • For Posts in Sr. No. 2, 3, 7, 15 & 21:  A candidate must not have crossed 35 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.
  • For Posts in Sr. No. 8 & 9:  A candidate must not have crossed 40 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.
  • For Posts in Sr. No. 4 to 6, 10 to 14, 16 to 20, & 22 to 27:  A candidate must not have crossed 30 years of age and should be over 18 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.
  • However upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ other candidates of as per the norms.

Mode of Selection:

  • Depending upon the number of applicants the PGIMER, Chandigarh will conduct a Written test for short-listing candidates for a personal interview.
  • The Final selection of a candidate will be made on the basis of his/her performance in the Personal Interview and career assessment.
  • The candidates have to produce their original documents on the day of interview.

Application Fee:

  • For SC/ST: Rs.500
  • For all others: Rs.1000
  • The fees can be remitted in shape of a Fee Payment Challan, deposited in any Branch of State Bank of India in the Power Jyoti Account No: 32211613319, maintained at PGIMER, Chandigarh.

  • The candidates are advised to go through the detailed advertisement as available at the website of PGIMER for reference, before filling up the applications.
  • After completing the application form with factual details, the applicants are advised to submit the requisite fees and take a printout of the Online Submitted Application.
  • The fee payment details (through the bank challan) must be uploaded to the website of PGIMER within the stipulated time notified on the advertisement.
  • The candidates must upload their scanned signature and photographs at appropriate spaces on the Online Application.
  • Any form of canvassing may lead to rejection of candidature
  • The candidates are required to bring with them the original certificates in support of their qualification, Diploma / Degree and fresh OBC certificate, along with “Original Fee Challan Form” at the time of Interview only.
  • The decision of the PGIMER, Chandigarh in all matters of recruitment will be final and binding.
