Orissa Power (OPGC) Recruitment 2014 for Senior Level Executives

With the recent announcement, the Orissa Power Generation Corporation has notified for recruiting 31 numbers of Senior Level Executive Positions. These posts will be recruited through direct and open recruitment from competent candidates.

Pay Scale Provisions:

  • The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible to receive remuneration in the grade scale as defined with the above notification.
  • They will be entitled to receive other perks and remunerations as per their respective grade positions.

Academic Eligibility:

Department: O&M  

  • DGM (Mech-Maint) in Grade-E-6: The candidates must have completed B.Tech/ BE Mechanical with at least 14-18 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre out of which 4-5 years in a lead role in the relevant area in a Govt./PSU or private company of repute. Must have experience in a power plant of capacity not less than 100 MW.
  • DGM (Elec-Maint) in Grade-E-6: The candidates must have completed B.Tech/ BE Electrical with at least 14-18 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre out of which 4-5 years in a lead role in the relevant area in a Govt./PSU or private company of repute. Must have experience in a power plant of capacity not less than 100 MW.
  • Dy. Manager (Mech-Maint) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 65% marks and diploma from NPTI/CEA approved training institute with at least 6-7 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area in a Govt./PSU or private company of repute. Must have experience in a power plant of capacity not less than 100 MW.
  • Asst. Manager (Engineering) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 65% marks with at least 2-3 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area. Must have experience in a power plant of capacity not less than 100 MW.
  • Dy. Manager (Contracts) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed B.Tech/ BE Mechanical/ Electrical with at least 6-7 years of post qualification experience.
  • Dy. Manager (WTP) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed M.Sc. (Chemistry) or Degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum 60% marks with at least 6-7 years of post qualification experience in electrical installations of a new project.

Department: Infra 

  • Senior Manager (Civil) in Grade-E-2: The candidates must have completed Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3-4 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre. Must have experience in a power plant of capacity not less than 100 MW.

Department: HR     

  • Senior Assistant Manager (HR) in Grade-E-2: The candidates must have completed Degree in any discipline and P.G. Degree/Diploma in PM&IR/MBA (HR) or equivalent with at least 4-5 years post qualification experience in an executive.
  • Dy. Manager (T&D) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed Degree in any discipline and P.G. Degree/Diploma in PM&IR/MBA (HR) or equivalent with at least 6-7 years post qualification experience in relevant field.

Department: Finance         

  • DGM (Commercial-Projects) in Grade-E-6: The candidates must have completed CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent with at least 15-18 years post qualification experience in relevant field.
  • AGM (Finance) in Grade-E-7: The candidates must have completed CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent with at least 19+ years post qualification experience in relevant field.
  • Manager (Finance) in Grade-E-4: The candidates must have completed CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent with at least 8 – 12 years post qualification experience in relevant field and knowledge of SAP.
  • Dy. Manager (Finance) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent with at least 6-7 years post qualification experience in relevant field.
  • Assistant Manager (Finance) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent with at least 2-3 years of post qualification experience in executive cadre.

Department: Ethics and Compliance      

  • GM (Compliance) in Grade-E-8: The candidates must have completed Degree in Law or equivalent (Masters Degree in Law will be preferred) with at least 21+ years of post qualification experience in relevant field.

Department: Secretarial  

  • Dy. Manager (Law) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed Degree in Law or equivalent (Masters Degree in Law will be preferred) with at least 6-7 years of post qualification experience in relevant field.

Department: Mines

  • Manager (Finance) in Grade-E-4: The candidates must have completed CA or equivalent with knowledge of SAP and with at least 10 years of post qualification experience in relevant field.
  • Assistant Manager (Contracts) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed B. E / B.Tech (Electronics Telecommunication / Electrical / Mechanical) M.B.A (Finance) or equivalent and with at least 3-4 years of post qualification experience in relevant field.
  • Dy. Manager (Forest and Environment) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed Graduate in any discipline with degree in law and with at least 10 Years in dealing with Forest & Environment related issues of Mining projects.
  • Dy. Manager (Mines Design) in Grade-E-3: The candidates must have completed B. Tech in Mining Engineering (MTech and MBA will be preferred) with at least 6-7 Years of working experience, out of which at least 4 years in Mine planning, scheduling & mine designing.
  • Asst. Manager (Land and R/R) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed Masters Degree in Rural management/ Social Welfare/ Social Science with at least 2-4 Years of experience in preparing land acquisition/ Rehabilitation and Resettlement documentations.
  • Asst. Manager (Electrical) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed BE/ B-Tech/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Must possess valid electrical supervisor’s certificate of competency (license) covering mining installations with at least 2-4 Years of experience (for BE/ BTech) or 10 years experience (for Diploma Holders).
  • Manager (Survey) in Grade-E-4: The candidates must have completed Degree in Mining Engg./ Diploma in Mining & Mine surveying/ B. Sc (Math)/ M.Sc (Math) Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency under the Coal Mines Regulations with at least 12-15 Years of experience in relevant field.

Department: O&M  

  • Asst. Manager (Operation) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 65% marks.   • Asst. Manager (Elec-Maint) in Grade-E-1: The candidates must have completed Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 65% marks. Candidates having diploma from NPTI/CEA approved training institute & BOE certificates shall be preferred. Must have 2-3 years of post qualification experience in the executive cadre.
  • The candidates are expected to have knowledge of Computer Operation and must bear good character antecedents.

Mode of selection:

  • The selection process will comprise of Telephonic Interview (if required) and through a Personal Interview of shortlisted candidates.
  • The final selection will base on the performance in the Interview sessions.
