The Indian Ordnance Factory is indulging with production of Art Battle Field Equipment. They want to equip armed forces with modern defence and battle field equipment. They are the oldest and largest Industrial set up which functions the Department of Defence and Ministry. Based on research and development, quality based products are provided when required. Ordnance Factory, Yeddumailaram, Medak, Andhra Pradesh, invited applications for the position of Fireman.
Total Number of Vacancies:
Total number of vacancies offered for post of Fireman is 15 (12 for UR and 3 for OBC candidates)

Last Date of Application form is- 21 days from the Date of Publication of Advertisement (April 20, 2013 to April 26, 2013).
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates are required to complete their matriculation along with course in Fire fighting through recognized institute. Also they are required to be physically fit that include test based on height, weight, eye vision etc.
Age Limit:
Age limit is required to be possessed above 18 year and should not exceed more than 27 years. Relaxation has been mad up to 3 years for OBC candidates, 40 years for departmental candidates and for ex-servicemen the relaxation will be based under the norms mentioned by Ordnance factory.
Pay Scale:
Pay Scale offered for the post of Fireman includes Rs. 5200 to Rs.20200 plus 1900 grade pay.
Application Fee & How to:
Application fee of Rs.50 (General) are charged by the candidates which is non refundable. This is needed to be paid through Demand Draft/ Indian postal order from any Nationalised Bank in favour of General Manager, Ordnance factory Medak. Fee is exempted for candidates belonging to SC/ST or Ex-servicemen.
Selection Process:
Selection will carry out Written exam, Physical ability test that will consider eye vision, height, weight and running abilities of candidates. Endurance test will be followed for those who have qualified the above tests.

- Fill all the details correctly and attach the relevant documents or testimonials
- Enclose the form in a plain envelope that includes all certificates, two passport size photos and fee receipt.
- Send the duly completed application form to the Ordnance Factory, Yeddumailaram, Medak Dist (A.P) Pin-502205 before last date.
- Candidates must super scribe “Application for the Post of Fireman, Advertisement No. and date”, on the top of the envelope.
