Ordnance Equipment Factory at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh was established in 1859 under Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), Kolkata, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The company initially was set up for repair and fabrication of harness and saddlery items for British troops.
