OSSC Combined Recruitment Examination for Junior Stenographer, Junior Grade Typist and ETC.-2023 Advertisement No. IIE-30/2023-4382 / OSSC
Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) is the state level nodal agency for conducting competent evaluation and recruiting the candidates in multiple departments and their subsidiary organizations as and when the departments require such candidates for their service channels. The OSSC operating with the guidelines of departments and other establishments and plays a prudent role in selection of staff.
With the recent requirement from different Head of the Department offices of the State, the OSSC has released a notification regarding inviting competent candidates for the positions of Junior Stenographer, Junior Typist, Junior Clerk, Data Entry Operator. There are 124 total vacancies as notified. The details of the vacancies and the norms of recruitment are detailed as under:

Pay Scale:
Pay Matrix level- 7 ₹ 25,500 – 81,100/- for the candidates get selected for this post of Junior Stenographer.
Pay Matrix level- 4 ₹ 19900 – 63200/- for the candidates get selected for this post of Junior Typist, Junior Clerk, Data Entry Operator
Essential Eligibility Factors:
- Age: The candidates must have complete 18 years/ 21 years of age but not reached 38 as on 01-Jan-2023. Age relaxations are applicable according to the rules laid down by the state government. Proof of age is to be reckoned as in the matriculation certificate or school leaving certificate issued by the board.
- Education: The candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary Education (10+2) in any stream and should have basic knowledge in computer application.
Data Entry Operator: However, for the position of Data Entry Operator, a candidate having minimum Graduation Degree with adequate knowledge in computer application, possess good typing speed/ skill on computer.
Mandatory: The candidate must have passed Middle School Examination with Odia as language subject (OR)
Must have passed HSC Examination or equivalent examination with Odia as Medium of examination in non-language subject (OR)
Must have passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or above from a school or educational institution recognised by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government (OR)
Must have passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha.
Mode of Selection: The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of
- Stage I: Preliminary Examination
- Stage II: Main Written Examination
- Stage III: Computer Skill Test / Stenography Test / Typing Test / Data Entry Operator Test
- Stage IV: Certificate Verification
