Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited Recruitment 2013 For 235 Management Trainees

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a state owned power utility organization in the state of Odisha is engaged in the business of Transmission of Electricity within the state with a vision to emerge as one of the leading utilities in the country in Transmission space. With its present notification it intends to recruit bright, qualified and energetic persons to the following posts for their placement at various units across the State. The positions advertised are for Recruitment of Management Trainee & Management Trainee-Junior in the disciplines of Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Finance, HRD, Law and IT.

Name of the Positions and Number of vacancies:

  • Management Trainee (Electrical) – 96 Positions (UR-47, SC-14, ST-24, SEBC-11, PWD-12 and Women from all profiles 28)
  • Management Trainee (Telecom) – 05 Positions (UR-2, SC-1, ST-1, SEBC-1, PWD-1 and Women from General profiles 1)
  • Management Trainee (Finance) – 17 Positions (UR-3, SC-2, ST-7, SEBC-5, and Women from all profiles 5)
  • Management Trainee (HRD) – 05 Positions (UR-2, ST-1, SEBC-2, and Women from all profiles 2)
  • Management Trainee (Law) – 01 Position (UR)
  • Management Trainee (IT) – 02 Positions (UR-1 and Women-1)
  • Management Trainee-Junior (Electrical) – 101 Positions (UR-25, SC-14, ST-37, SEBC-25, PWD-6 and Women from all profiles 30)
  • Management Trainee-Junior (Telecom) – 06 Positions (UR-1, SC-1, ST-3, SEBC-1, Women from ST profiles 1)
  • Management Trainee-Junior (IT) – 02 Positions (UR-1 and ST-1)

Pay scale and Remunerations:

  • Management Trainees (MT): On selection as Management Trainees (MT) the applicants will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs.18000 per month. On successful completion of the training, the candidates will be appointed as Assistant Managers in the Pay Scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and a Grade Pay of Rs.4600 in E-3 Grade
  • Management Trainees- Junior (MT-Jr.): On selection as Management Trainee – Junior (MT-Jr.) the applicants will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs.12000 per month. On successful completion of the training, the candidates will be appointed as Junior Managers in the Pay Scale of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and a Grade Pay of Rs.4200 in E-2 Grade
  • The Training will be for a period of 1 (one) year.

Essential Eligibility:

Age:   

  • Management Trainee: The applicant must be above 21 (Twentyone) years and below 32 (Thirty-Two) years of age as on 01-Aug-2013.
  • Management Trainee-Junior: The applicant must be above 18 (Eighteen) years and below 32 (Thirty-Two) years of age as on 01-Aug-2013.
  • However, upper age for reserved category and departmental applicants will be relaxable as per norms.

Education:

  • MT-Electrical: The applicant must have passed Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • MT-Telecom: The applicant must have passed Degree in Electronics / Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication engineering with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • MT-Finance: The applicant must have passed Graduation Degree with passing of the Final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost & Works Accounts of India
  • MT-HRD: The applicant must have passed Full time PG Degree/Diploma of two years duration in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations and welfare/ HRD/ HRM/ PM&IR/ MBA with specialization in HRD or Personnel Management from a recognized institution with at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • MT-Law: The applicant must have passed Full time Graduation with Degree in Law from a recognized Institution.
  • MT-IT: The applicant must have passed BE/B.Tech/ M.Tech in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Telecommunication or MCA with at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • MT-JR-Electrical: The applicant must have passed Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • MT-JR-Telecom: The applicant must have passed Diploma in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • MT-JR-IT: The applicant must have passed B.Sc (IT)/ BCA/ Degree with PGDCA of minimum one year duration Or, Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Computer Science with at least 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST candidates).

Training and Service Bond:

The applicants selected as MT and MT-JR will be inducted on a Training Period of 1 year from the date of Joining. These candidates will have to Sign a Service Agreement Bond during joining for training for 3 years of service after completion of Training Period.

Selection Procedure:

  • The selection process involves Written Test and Interview. Eligible candidates will be called for Written Test comprising multiple choice questions from various disciplines. The selected candidates from Written Test will be invited for Interview process and the final selection will be made on the basis of merit performance

  • For other state candidates and Gen/ SEBC candidates from the state of Odisha: Rs.500
  • For permanent employees of OPTCL: Fees exempted
  • For SC, ST of the state of Odisha: Fees Exempted
  • PDW candidates: Fees Exempted
  • The fees can be paid through Account payee crossed Demand Draft in favor of The DDO, Hqrs Office, OPTCL and should be payable at Bhubaneswar
