OPSC Recruitment 2023 Odisha Civil Services Exam 2022 Notification
Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released a notification vide its advertisement No. 17 of 2022-23 for various posts under Odisha Civil Services (Odisha Administrative Service, Odisha Co-operative Service, Odisha Labour Service, Odisha Revenue Service, Odisha Transport Service, Odisha Taxation & Accounts Service).
Online applications are being invited for the Preliminary Examination. For the Main Examination, there will be separate notification after the result declaration of the Preliminary Examination.

Essential Eligibility Factors:
- Age Limit: The candidates must have complete 21 years of age but not reached 38 as on 01-Jan-2022. Age relaxations are applicable according to the rules laid down by the state government. Proof of age is to be submitted in terms of matriculation certificate or school leaving certificate.
- Minimum Educational Qualification: A candidate must have obtained Bachelors Degree in any discipline to be eligible to apply for these positions.
- Language Proficiency: The candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia. Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a Language subject; or Passed High School Certificate or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in the non-language subject; or Passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government; or Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha.
Pay Scale & Remunerations:
- For Group-A Posts: The applicant selected for these positions will be eligible to receive a Pay Rs. 56,100/- in Level-12-Cell-1 in the Pay Matrix under Rule-3 of ORSP Rules, 2017.
- For Group-B Posts: The applicant selected for these positions will be eligible to receive a Pay Rs. 44,900/- in Level-10-Cell-1 in the Pay Matrix provided under Rule-3 of ORSP Rules, 2017.
Application Fee: Candidates other than SC/ST/PWD have to pay Rs 500/- through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or Pay Offline Through E Challan. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fees.
Mode of Selection: The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of a Preliminary Written Test, a Main Written Test and an Interview.
The Preliminary Examination shall comprise two compulsory papers of objective types (Multiple Choice Questions) carrying a maximum of 200 marks each. [General Studies Paper-1 – 200 marks, General Studies Paper-2 – 200 marks]
The Main Examination shall carry 2000 marks including 250 marks for the Interview.
Number of Attempts: For General category candidates: Total 4 Attempts including Preliminary Examination. The number of attempts permissible to candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC) shall be 7. No such limits in attempts For SC/ ST/ PWD.

Candidates are not required to send any hard copy of the application for the Preliminary Examination at present.
Candidates are required to fill in the application form, and upload a recent passport size photograph and signature as per the exact instructions. On successful submission of application form, a Unique Registration ID will be displayed on the screen as well as top of the application form, which should be noted for all future correspondence.
Two copies of the submitted applications need to be printed out, one for the Odisha PSC and other for the candidate. The candidates who will qualify for the Preliminary Written Examination, need to send the hard copy of the application along with the original treasury challan and with attested photocopies of the certificates and documents as proof of birth, educational career, caste, etc. to the OPSC office.
