Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) is a unique concept characterized for smart and state-of-the-art education at par with any advanced system of education in the Country. As per this scheme Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has been functioning as an independent society under the aegis of Ministry of HRD, Government of India and is controlling the functions of the JNVs across India. At present JNVs are being functioning at the district level and is working towards delivering the best education to the poor and talented students, who would otherwise fail to achieve the best education in shortage of money. With an objective of providing good quality modern education to the talented children predominantly from the rural areas, without regard to their family’s socio-economic condition, the JNVs are considered as one of the primary educational institutions for furthering a career in teaching jobs.
With the recent notification from Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Lucknow, it invites competent candidates to appear walk-in interview for selection of PGT, TGT, FCSA and other miscellaneous positions under the JNVs in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. All these positions will be filled up on contractual basis.
The details of the vacancies along with eligibility criteria for recruitment are as under:

Must have BEd or equivalent qualification and should be able to teach in English/ Hindi/ regional medium as per the requirement. The candidates (Except TGT-Urdu) must have completed CTET/TET as conducted by CBSE/ State Units.
Experience (Desirable): Working knowledge of Computer Application and experience in working with residential school as a TGT is desirable.
FCSA: 81 Posts (UP-68, UKD-13)
Salary: Rs.20000 per month
Age: Maximum 35 years as on 01-July-2014
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with Diploma in Computer Application (equivalent to ‘A’ level from DOEACC) or ‘A’ level from DOEACC OR BCA/ MCA from a recognized institute or equivalent.
Period of Engagement:
- The recruitment will be purely Contractual in nature and will be valid till 30-Apr-2015 or till a regular appointment is made (whichever, is earlier).
Special Provisions:
- For Candidates joining as PGT/ TGT/ FCSA/ Misc. Other at JNV, Champawat, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Bageswar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand will be offered special remuneration as detailed below:
- PGT: Rs.32500 per month
- TGT: Rs.31250 per month
- FCSA and others miscellaneous: Rs.31250 per month
- Free boarding and lodging will be provided to all the selected candidates at concerned JNV campus.
- Retired JNV teachers who are physically and mentally fit can also apply for these positions.

- The candidates should bring all original certificates with respect to qualification, age, special education with their respective mark-sheets along with Photostat copied of the same and a recent Bio-data to appear the walk-in
