The Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), established in the year 1971, is a major industrial unit of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The complex is responsible for the supply of nuclear fuel bundles and reactor core components for all the nuclear power reactors operating in India. It is a unique facility where natural and enriched uranium fuel, zirconium alloy cladding and reactor core components are manufactured under one roof starting from the raw materials.
India is pursuing an indigenous three stage Nuclear Power Program involving closed fuel cycles of Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) and Liquid Metal cooled Fast Breeder Reactors (LMFBRs) for judicious utilization of the relatively limited reserves of uranium and vast resources of thorium. The NFC plays a vital role in fabricating Nuclear Fuel as per the requirement of various Nuclear Power Units in India. Being a government profile of job with a special recognition, a job with NFC is considered as one of the most privileged one in the country.
With the recent initiative to empower the team with competent workforce, NFC is inviting applications for direct recruitment of Driver-Pump Operator-Fireman, Technical Officer, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Station Officer, Sub Officer and Chief Fire Officer Positions in various Units of Department of Atomic Energy.

Age Criteria:
The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and Maximum 27 years for Driver-Pump Operator-Fireman; 35 years for Technical Officer; and 40 years for all other Positions as on the last date for Registration of Online Application. Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per the rules of NFC for all reserved categories.
Educational Qualification:
Driver-Pump Operator-Fireman: Candidates must pass HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks and have valid Heavy vehicle Driving license with minimum one year driving experience and possess certificate course in fire-fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguisher etc. from the State Fire Training Centre.
Technical Officer: Candidates must possess bachelor’s degree in engineering B.E. / B.Tech in a relevant discipline. Freshers are welcome.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer: Candidates must pass HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks and Passed Divisional Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur with 6 years of experience.
OR, Possess B.E. in Fire Engineering with minimum 60% marks with 2 years of experience.
Station Officer: Candidates must pass HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks and have Valid Heavy vehicle Driving license and passed Station Officer’s course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur with 5 years of experience.
OR, Possess B.E. in Fire Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
Sub Officer: Candidates must pass HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks and Passed Sub-Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur. Persons having valid Heavy Vehicle Driving license will be given preference with 12 years or 15 years of experience.
Chief Fire Officer: Candidates must pass HSC (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks and Passed Divisional Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur with 12 years of experience.
OR, Possess B.E. in Fire Engineering with minimum 60% marks with 8 years of experience.
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- for Driver-Pump Operator-Fireman; Rs. 200/- for Station Officer and Sub Officer; and Rs. 500/- for Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Technical Officer and Chief Fire Officer Positions.

Assistant (COPA) trades
Rs. 8,050/- for Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant), Instrument Mechanic, Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant), Machinist, Chemical Plant Operator and Turner trades
Mode of Selection: Candidates shall be selected on merit basis (percentage of marks of qualifying
examination). In case of tie, the percentage of marks of 10th/ SSC shall be considered as tie-breaker.
