The Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), established in the year 1971, is a major industrial unit of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The complex is responsible for the supply of nuclear fuel bundles and reactor core components for all the nuclear power reactors operating in India. It is a unique facility where natural and enriched uranium fuel, zirconium alloy cladding and reactor core components are manufactured under one roof starting from the raw materials.

India is pursuing an indigenous three stage Nuclear Power Program involving closed fuel cycles of Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) and Liquid Metal cooled Fast Breeder Reactors (LMFBRs) for judicious utilization of the relatively limited reserves of uranium and vast resources of thorium. The NFC plays a vital role in fabricating Nuclear Fuel as per the requirement of various Nuclear Power Units in India. Being a Government profile of job with a special recognition, a job with NFC is considered as one of the most privileged one in the country.

With the recent initiative to empower the team with competent workforce, NFC is inviting applications for various positions of Technical and Non-Technical staff for the NFC, Hyderabad.

Work Assistant/A (Workshop, Plant, Lab)/ Hospital Work Assistant/A:

Pay Scale Provisions:

  • For Technical Officer/D: The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-III in the range of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.6600, along with other allowances and perks. These candidates will join as Scientific Officers after completion of training.
  • For Category-I Trainees: The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4200, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment. They will undergo training for a period of 1 year and after successful completion, they will join as Scientific Assistant/B.
  • For Category-II Trainees: The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2000, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment. They will undergo training for a period of 2 years and after successful completion, they will join as Technician/B.
  • For Technician/B (Mason): The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2000, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment.
  • For Technician/C (Boiler Operator): The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2400, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment.
  • For Stenographer Grade – II: The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-II in the range of Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs.4200, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment.
  • For Stenographer Grade – III: The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.2400, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment.
  • For Work Assistant/A (Workshop, Plant, Lab)/ Hospital Work Assistant/A: The candidates selected will receive a scale of PB-I in the range of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1800, along with other allowances and perks on regular employment.

Age Criteria:

  • For Technical Officer/D: The candidates should have attained minimum 40 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • For Category-I Trainees: The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and should not have exceed 24 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • For Category-II Trainees: The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and should not have exceed 22 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • For Technician/B (Mason): The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and should not have exceed 25 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • For Technician/C (Boiler Operator): The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and should not have exceed 30 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • For Stenographer Grade – II/III: The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and should not have exceed 27 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • For Work Assistant/A (Workshop, Plant, Lab)/ Hospital Work Assistant/A: The candidates should have attained minimum 18 years of age and should not have exceed 27 years of age as on the last date for Registration of Online Application (12-Apr-2014).
  • Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per the rules of NFC for all reserved categories.

Educational Requirements:

  • For Technical Officer/D: The candidates should have passed ME/MTech OR, BE/BTech in concerned branches of Engineering with at least 60% marks. The candidates should have at least 2 years of post qualification experience (for ME/MTech holders) and at least 4 years of post qualification experience (for BE/BTech holders).
  • For Category-I Trainees: The candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering (03 years after SSC or 02 years after HSC/Intermediate) in concerned branches of Engineering Or, Should have passed BSc. with requisite Honors and with 60% marks in aggregate.
  • For Category-II Trainees: The candidates should have passed SSC/HSC with a minimum of 60% marks with Science and Mathematics + ITI/ NCVT Certificate in the concerned trades of not less than 2 years duration.
    • For Crane/ Forklift Operator candidates must have a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License
    • For Lab Technician & Chemical Plant Operator, candidates having at least 60% marks in Intermediate Science (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) are also eligible.
    • For Technician/B (Mason): The candidates should have passed SSC or HSC with Science and Mathematics (Minimum 60% marks) + ITI/NCVT Certificate in the Masonry Trade of not less than 2 years. Working Experience as Mason is desirable.
    • For Technician/C (Boiler Operator): The candidates should have passed SSC with First Class Boiler Attendant Certificate, Or, SSC with Second Class Boiler Attendant Certificate with four (4) years relevant experience.
    • For Stenographer Grade – II: The candidates should have passed SSC or equivalent with 50% marks. He/ She should have a minimum speed of 100 wpm in shorthand in English and a minimum speed of 45 wpm in typewriting in English.
    • For Stenographer Grade – III: The candidates should have passed SSC or equivalent with 50% marks. He/ She should have a minimum speed of 80 wpm in shorthand in English and a minimum speed of 30 wpm in typewriting in English.
    • For Work Assistant/A (Workshop, Plant, Lab)/ Hospital Work Assistant/A: The candidates should have passed SSC or equivalent

Mode of Selection:

  • The selection of candidates will be based upon the Written Test, Trade Test, Physical Fitness Test, Driving Test and Personal Interview as per the nature of posts and criteria for education.
  • The selection will be done on a Merit performance basis only.

Application Fee:

  • For Technical Officer/D: Rs.250 only
  • For Trainee Category-I: Rs.150 only
  • For Stenographer – Gr-II: Rs.150 only
  • For all Other Posts: Rs.100 only
  • SC/ST, Women Candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Physically challenged persons are exempted from paying any Application Fees

  • The applicants should carefully read all the data and information available at the above portal before submitting their candidature.
  • Hand Written/Typed/Photostat copies/outside printed application form will not be accepted under any circumstances.
  • The candidates should complete the application form in all respect and cross-verify it before final submission.
  • All documents, including signature, and photographs should be scanned and uploaded at the appropriate spaces on the Online Application.
  • The completed application in all respect along with necessary documentary evidences against reservation, qualification and experience must be submitted during the time of interview only. There is no need to send any hardcopy of the application at this time.
