Academic Eligibility:

• Diploma Trainee (Mechanical): Candidates having completed Full time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 70% marks are eligible to apply.
• Diploma Trainee (Electrical): Candidates having completed Full time regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 70% marks are eligible to apply.
• Diploma Trainee (Control and Instrumentation): Candidates having completed Full time regular Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering with minimum 70% marks are eligible to apply.
• Diploma Trainee (Civil): Candidates having completed Full time regular Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 70% marks are eligible to apply.

NOTE: For SC, ST, PWD candidates a pass mark in the concerned stream will suffice. For candidates from Land Affected areas the required percentage of marks will be 50%.

Age Requirement:

• The candidate must not have attained the upper age limit of 27 years as on 10-Sept-2013 (The last date for submission of application)
• The upper age is relaxed for candidates from Land Affected areas till 35 years.
• The upper age will be relaxed as per rules for SC, ST, PWD and other category of candidates, who are recognized by Govt of India for relaxation in age limit.

Training, & Placement:

The selected candidates will have to undergo one year training at various locations of NTPC. The region in which the selected candidates will be posted will be decided at the time of joining. However, final place of posting in that region will be allocated only after successful completion of training.

Emoluments:

NTPC Ltd. offers one of the best pay packages in the industry. The selected candidates will be offered a consolidated pay of Rs.15500 per month during training period. After successful completion of the training period these candidates will be posted under W-7 grade with a pay scale of Rs.15500-Rs.34500 with 3% annual increment. In addition, they will be entitled to draw Other Allowance, Performance Related Pay, Medical Reimbursement and others as admissible in the same Grade.

Service Agreement Bond:

The Selected candidates who belong to General and OBC categories will be required to execute a service agreement bond of Rs.100000 (Rs.50000 for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWDs) to serve the company for at least 3 years after successful completion of the training.

Mode of Selection:

• Eligible candidates will have to appear for All India Written Test.
• Based on the Merit and requirement the candidates will be short listed for Personal Interview.
• All Short Listed candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks in the interview stage for final selection.
• The written test could be taken either in Hindi or in English

• For General and OBC: Rs. 300
• For SC, ST, PWD:     Fees exempted
• The fee can be deposited in the State Bank of India Account Number: 30987919993 at CAG branch, New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC through the prescribed fee payment challan only. The challan can be downloaded from the website of NTPC

How to Apply:

• Candidates will have to apply online in NTPC on the career section of NTPC website (//www.ntpccareers.net/d13_hm.php) with a valid email ID.
• After applying online, candidate is required to take a print out of the Application Form generated by the system with unique registration number, and other details for future reference.
• The candidates will be offered Admit Cards through the website of NTPC and no Admit Card will be sent by Post.
• Candidates called for Personal Interview will be required to produce the same documents at the time of Interview.
