NWR/Sports/Open Advertisement 01/2016- North Western Railway has four divisions at Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Bikaner. Formed out of two divisions each from Northern and Western Railways, it came into existence on 1st, October, 2002. North Western Railway has invited applications for recruitment of sports persons against sports quota for Group C posts. Applications are open for following sports disciplines: Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Cross Country, Shooting, Power lifting and Wrestling.
Total Number of Vacancies: The total number of vacancies is 21 against Head Quarter Quota.
05 Posts in Pay Band-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/2800/-
16 Posts in Pay Band-1 Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/2000/-
Important Dates: The closing date for applications to the above posts is 22-August-2016 (06-September-2016 in case of far flung areas).
Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit (as on 01-Jnauary-2017): The minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 25 years.
Application Fee:
For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only with a provision for refunding the same to those who actually appear in the written examination.
For All Others: Rs.500/-
The candidates can remit the fees through DD/IPO in favour of North Western Railway Sports Association, and should be payable at Jaipur/ G.P.O. Jaipur only.
Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will consist of field trials, assessment of sports achievements and general intelligence/ personality etc. The candidates who are found fit in trial will only be considered for next stage of recruitment process.

The application must be typed or computer printed on one side of a Good quality A4 size 85 GSM paper on single side only. The applicant need to fill the form in his own handwriting only. The signature and photograph must be placed appropriately. The candidates must use blue/ black ball point pen to fill up the application. The application must be filled up either in Hindi or in English.
The application completed in all respect and attached with all requisite documents (properly attested), must be secured in an envelope super-scribed as “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2016-17” and should be submitted by hand/ ordinary post to the address mentioned in the detailed advertisement (as below):
