NER/RRC/SG/2016-17: North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur; Railway Recruitment Cell, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment against Scouts & Guides quota for the year 2016-17; for Group C Posts in the scale of pay Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- and erstwhile Group D Posts in the scale of pay Rs. 5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay of 1800/- in North Eastern Railway and Diesel Locomotive Works Varanasi.

Educational Qualification:
Group C Post- Matriculation or its equivalent with at least 50% marks, Act Apprenticeship/ ITI Certificate approved by SCVT/ NCVT for TECHNICIAN; Intermediate or it’s equivalent with minimum 505 marks for ALL OTHERS.
Group D Post- 10th pass or ITI
Scouting: A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section. Candidates Should have been active member of Scouts Organization for the last five years. Candidates Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railways Level AND two events at State Level.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 32 years as on 01-January-2017. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Selection Process: Written test (objective questions on Scouts & Guides Organization, its activities, General Knowledge and essay type question) of 50 marks, Scouting Skill Assessment of 10 marks, and 40 Marks on certificates.
Examination Fee:
UR/ OBC candidates: Rs.500/-
Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, Women, Ex-Servicemen, Minorities {Muslim, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis)}, Persons With Disabilities, and those belonging to economically backward classes: Rs. 250/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the examination fee in form of IPO, drawn in favour of Senior Personnel Officer, Railway Recruitment Cell, North Eastern Railway; payable at Gorakhpur.
