NLC India Limited, a ‘NAVRATNA’ public sector enterprise, invites online applications from eligible candidates for Direct Recruitment of Mining Statutory positions (Group C posts) for its Lignite/ Coal Mines located in Neyveli (Tamil Nadu), Barsingsar Project (Rajasthan) and Talabira-II & III OCP Project (Odisha).
Junior Overman (Trainee)- 51 Vacancies in Neyveli Mines Tamil Nadu, Talabira Mines Odisha and Barsingsar Mines Rajasthan
Candidates must possess Diploma in Mining or Mining engineering or other equivalent qualification.
Candidates must have Valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 or any certificate in Mining which entitled to work as Overman as per Coal Mines Regulation 2017 and Valid First Aid Certificate.
Junior Surveyor (Trainee)- 147 Vacancies in Neyveli Mines Tamil Nadu and Barsingsar Mines Rajasthan
Candidates must possess Diploma in Mining (or) Diploma in Mining engineering (or) Diploma in Mine Surveying (or) Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering (or) National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Surveying and have Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency as per CMR 2017.
Sirdar (Selection Grade 1)- 16 Vacancies in Talabira Mines Odisha, Barsingsar Mines Rajasthan and Neyveli Mines Tamil Nadu
Candidates must possess Diploma or Degree in any subject other than Mining Engineering and Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS and Valid First Aid Certificate. OR
Possess Diploma in Mining with Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS and have Valid First Aid Certificate.
Upper Age Limit: 30 years for Unreserved/ EWS, 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC and ST category candidates as on 01-11-2022. However, further relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.

Pay Scale:
- Junior Overman (Trainee): Rs. 31000 – 100000 S1 Grade
- Junior Surveyor (Trainee): Rs. 31000 – 100000 S1 Grade
- Sirdar (Selection Grade-I): Rs. 26000 – 3% – 110000 SG1 Grade
Mode of Selection: Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test for 100 marks.
The Question Paper will consist of two parts: Part-I with 30 questions of General Aptitude comprising of Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness (at Diploma level) and Part-II with 70 Questions on subject knowledge totally 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers.
Duration of Written Test will be 120 minutes. No negative marking.
