North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd. (NEEPCO) is a 5000 Crore turnover company being involved in Designing, Planning, and Developing Thermal and Hydel Power projects in the North-Eastern region of India, is inviting young, energetic and competent young professional Engineers for various positions under its power distribution and monitoring systems. The details of the vacancies and the procedures for application are detailed as under:

Important Dates:

  • The application Fee can be paid in shape of a Crossed Demand Draft from any nationalized bank in favor of NEEPCO Ltd. and should be payable at Shillong. The demand draft must be valid for 6 months.

  1. Trainee Engineer (Civil) – E2 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.20600- Rs.46500 – SC (3), OBC (2), UR (5) – Total – 10 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-15 – Academics – BE/ BTech/ BSc Engg./ AMIE in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade (55% for SC/ST)
  2. Trainee Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical) – E2 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.20600- Rs.46500 – SC (2), ST (1), OBC (2), UR (5) – Total – 10 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-34 – Academics – BE/ BTech/ BSc Engg./ AMIE in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade (55% for SC/ST)
  3. Trainee Officer (Geology) – E2 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.20600- Rs.46500 – SC (1), OBC (1), UR (2) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-68 – Academics – M.Sc/ M.Tech. in Applied Geology with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade (55% for SC/ST)
  4. Trainee Officer (IT) – E2 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.20600- Rs.46500 – OBC (1), UR (4) – Total – 5 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-52 & 60 – Academics – BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc Engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering/ Electronics & Communication/ IT) or MCA with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade (55% for SC/ST)
  5. Medical Officer – E2A Grade – Pay scale – Rs.24900- Rs.50500 – SC (1), OBC (1), UR (2) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-280 – Academics – Degree in MBBS and registration with Indian Medical Council
  6. Security Officer – E2A Grade – Pay scale – Rs.24900- Rs.50500 – Combined Vacancy with job No. 7 & 8 – SC (1), OBC (1), UR (2) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 33 years – Job Code – HR-292 – Academics – Graduate in any discipline. Minimum 2/ 6/ 9 years of experience in Armed Forces in the rank of Lieutenant/ Captain/ Major OR, in the rank of Dy. Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police or equivalent in Central/ State Police Department.
  7. Assistant Manager (Security) – E3 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.29100- Rs.54500 – Combined Vacancy with job No. 6 & 8 – SC (1), OBC (1), UR (2) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 35 years – Job Code – HR-291 – Academics – Graduate in any discipline. Minimum 2/ 6/ 9 years of experience in Armed Forces in the rank of Lieutenant/ Captain/ Major OR, in the rank of Dy. Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police or equivalent in Central/ State Police Department out of which 3 years experience in the next below scale or equivalent.
  8. Deputy Manager (Security) – E4 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.32900- Rs.58000 – Combined Vacancy with job No. 6 & 7 – SC (1), OBC (1), UR (2) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 40 years – Job Code – HR-290 – Academics – Graduate in any discipline. Minimum 2/ 6/ 9 years of experience in Armed Forces in the rank of Lieutenant/ Captain/ Major OR, in the rank of Dy. Superintendent of Police/ Superintendent of Police or equivalent in Central/ State Police Department out of which 3 years experience in the next below scale or equivalent.
  9. Junior Company Secretary – E2A Grade – Pay scale – Rs.24900- Rs.50500 – UR (1) – Total – 1 – Max Age – 33 years – Job Code – HR-238 – Academics – Graduate with Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India – Experience – One year post qualification experience – Desirable – Degree in Law shall be an added advantage

10. Trainee Personnel Officer – E2 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.20600- Rs.46500 – OBC (1), UR (2), PWD –VH-LV (1) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-159 – Academics – Graduate with full time MBA or Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Personnel & Administration/ Industrial Relations/ Human Resource Development/ Human Resource Management with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade with minimum 2 years duration course (55% for SC/ST)

11. Trainee Accounts Officer – E2 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.20600- Rs.46500 – SC (1), OBC (1), UR (3), PWD – (1) – Total – 6 – Max Age – 30 years – Job Code – HR-259 – Academics – CA/ ICWA or Graduate with full time MBA or Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Finance with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade with minimum 2 years course duration (55% for SC/ST)

12. Deputy Manager (Finance) – E4 Grade – Pay scale – Rs.32900- Rs.58000 –OBC (1), UR (3) – Total – 4 – Max Age – 40 years – Job Code – HR-256 – Academics – CA/ ICWA or Graduate with full time MBA or Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Finance with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade with minimum 2 years course duration (55% for SC/ST) – Experience – 7 years post qualification experience out of which a minimum of 3 years experience in the scale of Rs.29100-Rs.54500 or equivalent in a reputed organization

NOTE:

  • The vacancies indicated is provisional
  • The Pay scale and allowances are provisional
  • 10% of All posts are reserved for Departmental Candidates 

Probation Period:

  • The candidates selected for the posts will have to serve the NEEPCO for a probation Period of 1 year from the date of joining.

Allowances:

  • NEEPCO allows other allowances such as Dearness Allowance, HRA, SDA/ NEA, Special Allowance as applicable based on place of posting and will also be entitled for other perquisites & allowances under cafeteria approach up to 47% of basic pay. Benefits such as leave, medical treatment, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Pension etc will be admissible as per company rules.

Selection Procedure:

  • Short listed Candidates for Trainee Engineer/ Officer will have to appear in a written test or interview as per the discretion of the NEEPCO management.
  • Short listed Candidates for posts other then trainee Engineer/ Officer will have to appear in Personal Interview only.
  • List of eligible candidates to be called for interview will be made available at the website of NEEPCO at www.neepco.gov.in.
  • The call letters will be sent to the candidates through post.
  • The selected candidates after the final phase will be issued “Offer of Appointment”.

Reservation and Relaxation of Norms:

  • As per the provisions of the Government of India, candidates belonging to categories like SC, ST, OBC and PWD will be entitled to receive relaxation in upper age limit, relaxation in academic percentages and reservation of posts.

  • The Candidates can apply through the prescribed Application Form which can be downloaded from the website of NEEPCO at www.neepco.gov.in
  • The application Form should be completed in all respect
  • The signature must be in running hand and photograph must be attached to the application form at the space provided
  • The application form must be attached the credentials, copies of certificates in respect of academics, age and special claims
  • The application form must be filled in Black/ Blue ball point pen only
  • The envelope containing the application form and supporting documents must be superscripted with the Advertisement No, Post Applied for and the Post Code in Block Capital Letters
  • The Completed application should be sent at such a date that it should reach the under mentioned address on or before 5th of September 2012
