The National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) has been established by the Society of Integrated Coastal Management (SICOM) of Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India to develop world class knowledge base in India, related to management of the coastal and marine areas. Supporting an integrated management of coastal and marine environment for livelihood security, sustainable development, and hazard risk management, the NCSCM works closely for knowledge enhancement, offers research and advisory support, and makes partnership with enhancement of coastal community support.
With its extensive expansion plan and on-going process NCSCM opens up a challenging opportunity for dynamic and ambitious professionals having special qualification for various vacancy positions. All these posts will be filled up up-to December 2015 with possible extensions, and these will be filled through Contract/ Deputation basis as per the guidelines for recruitment of NCSCM.

- Scientist-F: The applicants selected for these positions will received an emolument in the scale of Rs.37400 – Rs.67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs.8900.
- Scientist-E: The applicants selected for these positions will received an emolument in the scale of Rs.37400 – Rs.67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs.8700.
- Scientist-D: The applicants selected for these positions will received an emolument in the scale of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.7600.
- Scientist-C: The applicants selected for these positions will received an emolument in the scale of Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs.6600.

Mode of Selection:
- Deputation is applicable only for positions with Grade Pay Rs.8700 and above.
- Eligible candidates will have to appear for Selection Process through a Personal Interview as defined by NCSCM.
- For positions where large numbers of applications are received, if need be, additionally a trade test will be conducted.
- The competent authority may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and experience.
- The decision of NCSCM will be final and binding on all applicants.
