Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Assistant Commissioners, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Computer Operator, Assistant, and Principals in its Headquarters Office, Regional Offices, and Schools spread across India in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination to be conducted at 42 cities throughout India; and interview.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are co-educational, fully residential schools up to Senior Secondary level. 630 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are functioning all over the country. Selected candidates are required to stay in the Vidyalaya campus for which rent free accommodations as available will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria (Qualification):
Principal (Group-A): Candidates must possess Master/ Post Graduate Degree from any recognized university with minimum 50% marks in aggregate; B. Ed or equivalent teaching degree. Persons holding analogous posts or posts of Principals in Central/ State Government/ Autonomous organizations of Central/ State Government.
Assistant Commissioner (Administration) (Group-A): Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree/ Graduate Degree from a recognized University; Holding analogous post on regular basis or with 8 years service.
Assistant/ Computer Operator (Group-C): Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Institution/ University; Possess Skill in word-processing and data entry with one year Computer Diploma from a recognized Institution.
Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) (Group-B): Candidates must possess two year Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. B. Ed Degree is desirable.
Age Limit:
Maximum 40 years for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years for Assistant, Computer Operator Posts
Maximum 50 years for Principal
Maximum 45 years for Assistant Commissioner
However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale-
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Pay Matrix Level 8
Principal: Pay Matrix Level 12
Assistant Commissioner: Pay Matrix Level 11
Assistant: Pay Matrix Level 6
Computer Operator: Pay Matrix Level 4
