MGVCL Recruitment 2013 For Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT), Legal Professionals, Horticulturist & Security Watchman
Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) is a newly formed company in the state of Gujarat with the implementation of Power Reform Process in the state of Gujarat. MGVCL has been formed after the decentralization of Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) into 7 (seven) sub-companies and individually charged for distribution, production and management of electricity in the state. The operational area has been defined for each of these companies and out of the seven of them MGVCL is autonomously responsible for generation, distribution and transmission of Electricity in the state of Gujarat under its jurisdiction.
With the present requirement for induction of Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT), Legal Professionals, Horticulturist & Security Watchman in the MGVCL, this promising venture invites competent applicants to apply for the job positions through ONLINE mode only.

- Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT): 10 Posts (SC-01, ST-02, SEBC-01)

- NOTE: The Selection empanelment list will be valid for 1 year or more subject to the discretion of the MGVCL.
- Reservations will be applicable for various categories of applicants as per rules.
Pay scale and Remunerations:
- Security Watchman: Rs.7300 – Rs.17940 along with other perks and remunerations. The initial pay per month would be approximately Rs.14500.
- Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT): Fixed remuneration for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year would be Rs.6500, Rs.7250 and Rs.8000 respectively per month. No other allowance or benefits would be admissible except coverage under Personal Accident Policy, Reimbursement of TA / DA as per rules etc.
- Horticulturist (Contractual): Rs.30000 per month fixed (all inclusive) for the first year which shall be increased by 10% for subsequent years.
- Sr. Manager (Legal) (Contractual): Rs.50000 per month fixed (all inclusive) for the first year which shall be increased by 10% for subsequent years. On successful completion of 2 years contractual appointment the candidate may be offered appointment in regular pay scale of Rs.27000 – Rs.44710 (Equivalent to Executive Engineer).
- Assistant Law Officer (Contractual): Rs.35000 per month fixed (all inclusive) for the first year which shall be increased by 10% for subsequent years.
- For the first two years the candidates will get only TA/DA and Personal Insurance Coverage. No other allowances are admissible.
Essential Eligibility:
Age as on 31-Oct-2013:
- Security Watchman: The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 35 years.
- Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT): The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 25 years.
- Horticulturist (Contractual): The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 40 years.
- Sr. Manager (Legal) (Contractual): The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 40 years.
- Assistant Law Officer (Contractual): The applicant must not have crossed maximum age of 30 years.
- However, relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per rules.
Education & Experience:
- Security Watchman: The applicant must have passed SSC or equivalent examination of Indian Armed Forces. He should have at least 05 years experience in Armed Forces. Diploma in Police Science holders will be preferred for these positions.
- Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT): The applicant must have passed BCA/MCA or B.Sc./M.Sc (Computer Science) or B.Com. plus PGDCA (Computer Science) from a recognized University with 55% marks. Candidates having ICA (Industrial Computer Account), Knowledge of Electricity Domain will be preferred. Candidates having exposure to Oracle environment will be appreciated.
- Horticulturist (Contractual): The applicant must have passed Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture / Agriculture with 3 years of experience in the same area.
- Sr. Manager (Legal) (Contractual): The applicant must have passed LLB / LLM/ 5 years Integrated Course in Law with minimum 60% marks. The candidates must have Minimum 8 years of experience in any Corporate Sector or as practicing Advocate in Court of Law.
- Assistant Law Officer (Contractual): The applicant must have passed Graduation with LLB/ 5 years Integrated Course in Law with minimum 60% marks. The candidates must have Minimum 2 years of experience in any Corporate Sector or as practicing Advocate in Court of Law.
- Knowledge of Gujarati language and Computer Operations is essential for candidates.
Period of Engagement:
- Security Watchman: These posts are for direct recruitment and the candidates will retire after completion of their service/ upon resignation.
- Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant-IT): The applicant shall be appointed for duration of 3 years and at discretion of the Management and may be considered for appointment to the post of Jr. Assistant-IT in the pay scale of Rs.9700 – Rs.21710 subject to completion of the period of probation and upon satisfactory performance.
- Horticulturist (Contractual): The applicant will be serving the company under a Contract Period of 3 years.
- Sr. Manager (Legal) (Contractual): The applicant will be serving the company under a Contract Period of 2 years.
- Assistant Law Officer (Contractual): The applicant will be serving the company under a Contract Period of 3 years.
Selection Procedure:
- The selection process involves Physical Fitness Test, Written Test and Interview for a meritorious selection.
