Municipal Corporation of Delhi came into existence on the April 07, 1958 under and Act of Parliament. Municipal Corporation of Delhi is an autonomous body that governs 9 districts of Delhi. It is one of the three municipal corporations of NCT namely Delhi Cantonment board and New Delhi Municipal Council. MCD has announced the recruitment of primary teachers in its latest advertisement.
Nature of the Post:
The teachers will be hired on contract basis under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in the schools of corporation.

Eligibility Criteria:
In order to apply the candidate must have completed the senior secondary or intermediate education from a recognised board. He/ she must have Hindi and English as a subject in intermediate. Candidate must also have 2 years diploma in ETE/ JBT or B.Ed. equivalent. He must also qualify CTET from CBSE.
Age Limit:
Age limit imposed for general candidates is maximum 30 years with relaxation of 5 years to SC/ ST, 3 years to OBC and 10 years to PWD.
Pay Scale:
Candidates will be paid a fixed salary of Rs. 13500 per month for contract basis engagement.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit and scores in professional and academic qualifications. Shortlisted candidates list will be displayed on the website from 21-11-2012 to 23-11-2012.
