Forest Department, Government of Manipur invites applications from eligible candidates (resident of Manipur) for recruitment of Group ‘C’ Posts as Forest Guard, Forester, and Deputy Ranger Vacancies. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of one year.

Pay scale:
Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 1800/- for Forest Guard Post
Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- for Forester Post
Rs. 9300–34800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- for Deputy Ranger Post
Qualification:
Forest Guard- Candidates must have passed matriculation/ HSLC from a recognised board, and have knowledge of Manipuri and Hindi.
Forester- Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 examination from a recognised board; or B.Sc. forestry. Candidates should have knowledge of Manipuri and Hindi.
Deputy Ranger- Candidates must possess Bachelor Degree in science or engineering or equivalent with at least one of the following subjects: Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application/ Computer Science, Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Zoology; from a recognised University.
Candidates must have fulfill required physical standards.
Age Limit:
Minimum 18 years and Maximum 38 years for Forest Guard, and Forester Posts as on 01-August-2016.
Minimum 21 years and Maximum 38 years for Deputy Ranger Post as on 01-August-2016.
However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Application Fee:
Rs. 250/- for SC/ ST category candidates
Rs. 500/- for General and OBC category candidates
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee through fee through bank Challan in the prescribed Challan form showing the name of the candidate and transaction ID at the time of submission of applications.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Exam, Interview/ Viva Voice, Physical Test, Medical test.
