Directorate General, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. Of India has invited the recruitments for the post of Assistant Surgeon/Assistant commandant (Veterinary) in Indo/ Tibetan border police force.
Name of Post: A notification has been issued for recruitment for the posts of Assistant Surgeon/ Assistant commandant (Veterinary) in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF).
Nature of the Post: Selected candidates will be governed by ITBPF Act 1992 and ITBPF Rules 1994 and will be posted anywhere in India. These officers will have to wear the badges and ranks as per instructions of Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria: A candidate should hold bachelor degree in veterinary science and animal husbandry from recognised university. Should have registration with Veterinary Council of India.
Physical measurements required for this posts are height: 157.5 cm, chest: 77 cm, weight: relative to height and good mental and physical state.
Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 35 years as on 06-March-2019 and age relaxation of 5 years is applied for government servants/SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Pay Scale: A pay scale of Rs. 15600- Rs. 39100 will be applied along with grade pay of Rs. 5400 + 25% NPA in ITBPF. Apart from the mentioned pay other allowances are also applied such as DA, CCA, HRA, free ration, special compensatory allowance, free fuel, rent free family accommodation, special duty allowance at 12.5% and uniform grant of Rs. 14000.
Selection Process: The candidates will undergo verification of identity including Biometric capture before start of Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be screened for Height, Chest and Weight measurements. Candidates who qualify the PST will undergo verification of original documents.
Candidates who qualify in Documentation shall be called for written examination for which fresh admit cards to the candidates will be issued online by mentioning the date & venue of the written test.
Candidates declared qualified in the written test would be required to appear before the Selection Board for interview.
After the written test the shortlisted candidates shall undergo detailed medical examination to assess their fitness for appointment as per medical guidelines.
Applciation Fee: Rs 400/- for Male candidates belonging to General (UR)/ OBC category through online payment gateway system. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Females and Ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.
