Qualification As per Discipline:
Electrical/ Civil/ Mechanical (Including IT, Optical, Electronics and Plastics Trades)- Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the respective field from a recognized university/ Institution.
Metallurgical/ Leather/ Chemical (Including Environmental Science and Technology, Rubber and Polymers Trades)- Master’s Degree in Chemistry from recognized university/ Institution OR Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the respective field from a recognized university/ Institution.
Clothing- Master’s Degree in Chemistry from recognized university/ Institution OR Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the respective field from a recognized university/ Institution OR M.Sc. degree in Fashion Technology, Garment Manufacturing or Garment Technology from a recognized University.
Information Technology- Masters in computer application from recognized university/ Institution OR Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the respective field from a recognized university/ Institution
Upper Age Limit: 30 years as on closing date for receipt of application. Up to five years of relaxation for Government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government. However, further relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300–34,800/- (Pay Band-2) with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-
Selection process:
Note: 75% of the vacancies will be filled by promotion, 15% of the vacancies will be filled by Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, and 10% of the vacancies will be filled by Direct Recruitment after adjustment of surplus and transfer from equivalent posts.
In case of recruitment by Promotion/ Deputation/ Absorption: Candidates should be promoted from Chargeman (Technical) in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800/- in Pay Band-2 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- in the relevant discipline.
Candidates must have minimum five years of regular service in the grade on the basis of seniority maintained discipline/ trade wise centrally at Ordnance Factory Board.
In case of Direct Recruitment: Union Public Commission are authorized to recruit for Junior Works Manager (Technical) Positions. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
