The Indian Army regularly announces notifications for induction of personnel at various level through recruitment rallies. Being a special government profile of job, the defense jobs through Indian Army is considered to be one of the most prestigious jobs of all times.

With the recent announcement, the Indian Army Recruitment Office, Guntur, the Indian Army is inviting candidature for direct recruitment through a Rally at Police Parade Ground, in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. This rally will be conducted to select candidates from 07 (Seven) districts of Andhra Pradesh viz. Anantapur, Chittoor, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore & Prakasam for recruitment of Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesmen & Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical Categories for the year 2014.

The details of the recruitment procedure are as follows:

Important Schedule of events:

Rally date from 28-May-2014 till 06-June-2014

• 28-May-2014: Screening of Documents for the candidates for Soldier General Duty from the districts of Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam.
• 29-May-2014: Physical Fitness Test/ Physical Measurement Test for the candidates for Soldier General Duty from the districts of Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam.
• 29-May-2014: Screening of Documents for the candidates for Soldiers General Duty from the districts of Guntur, Kadapa Kurnool & Nellore.
• 30-May-2014: Physical Fitness Test/ Physical Measurement Test for the candidates for Soldiers General Duty from the districts of Guntur, Kadapa Kurnool & Nellore.
• 30-May-2014: Screening of Documents for the candidates for Soldiers Tradesman from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 31-May-2014: Physical Fitness Test/ Physical Measurement Test for the candidates for Soldiers Tradesman from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 31-May-2014: Screening of Documents for the candidates for Soldiers Technical & Soldier Nursing Assistant from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 01-June-2014: Physical Fitness Test/ Physical Measurement Test for the candidates for Soldiers Technical & Soldier Nursing Assistant from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 01-June-2014: Screening of Documents for the candidates for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical & ESM applying for DSC from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 02-June-2014: Aptitude Test for the candidates for Soldier Tradesman from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 03-June-2014: Physical Fitness Test/ Physical Measurement Test for the candidates for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical & ESM applying for DSC from all the 7 districts such as Anantapur, Chittoor, Prakasam, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool & Nellore.
• 30-May till 09-June-2014: Medical Test of all candidates selected in PMT (Physical Measurement Test) as per the dates given after PMT.

Venue of Rally: Police Parade Ground, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh

Time for Reporting:

• The applicants should report the venue on the Scheduled Date as mentioned above by 05:30 AM sharp.

Details of the Posts & Vacancies:

Posts to be filled up:

a)    Soldier in Technical Duty (Aviation)

b)    Soldiers in General Duty

c)    Soldiers as Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical

d)    Soldiers Technical as Nursing Assistant

e)    Soldiers Tradesman

NOTE:

• Candidates with 10+2 Vocational Subjects ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant & Soldier Clerk/ Soldier Store Keeper Technical. They can apply for Tradesmen/ General Duty.
• Candidates who have under taken Andhra Pradesh Open School Society Examination for Class-X ARE NOW ELIGIBLE for Soldier General Duty and Soldier Tradesmen categories.
• Candidates, who are below 18 years of age must bring their parent’s consent certificate for appearing Army Recruitment Rally.

Education Qualification:

a)   Soldiers Technical: 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects. Should have secured minimum pass marks in each subject even if any one of them is taken as an optional subject.  

b)    Soldiers Technical (Aviation): The candidates should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate (XII) Examination in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English OR, should have completed 3 years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles / Computer Science Mechanical Engg and Electronic & Instrumentation Engg)

c)    Soldiers Technical (Nursing Assistant): 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject OR, must have passed BSc Degree with Zoology/Botany or Bio Science with English.

d)    Soldier in General Duty: Minimum SSC pass with 45% marks and 33% in each subject. Candidates having 10+2 or higher qualification, need not fulfill the criteria of percentage of marks.

e)    Soldiers as Tradesman: 8^th standard pass for House Keeper/ Mess Keeper/Syce and 10^th standard pass for Chef, Washerman, Dresser Steward, Tailor, Artisan (Wood work), Artisan (Metallurgy), Support Staff (ER), Artisan (Construction) and other trades. These candidates (except House Keeper/ Mess Keeper) should have completed ITI qualification in respective trades. Candidates appearing 10^th Examination will also be considered.

f)     Soldiers as Clerk/ Store Keeper: 10+2 with minimum of 50% marks and at least 40% in each subject including English. For candidates having Graduation with Maths and English the percentage of marks will not be accounted for. However should have studied English and Math/Book keeping/ Accountancy in Class-X or Class-XII and should have secured 40% marks in each of these subjects.

Note: For NCC ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate holders there will be additional award of marks to be included in final selection

Age Specification:

• Soldiers in General Duty: A candidate must be aged between 17^1/2 to 21 years
• Soldiers in Technical Duty and Nursing Assistant/ Veterinary Assistant/ others:  A candidate must be aged between 17^1/2 to 23 years
• Candidates aged below 18 years must bring their Parent’s consent while appearing the rally.

Physical Standards:

• Height: 162 -166 cm
• Weight: 48-50 kg
• Chest: 76-77 Cm without expansion and 81-82 cm with expansion (5 cm expansion)

Character Certificate:

• All candidates have to produce a Character Certificate issues by IIC of their concerned Police Station/ School HM/ Sarpanch/ MLA or Member of Zilla Parisad and the certificate should be issued within last 6 months.

Nativity:

• The candidates need to be domicile of the Andhra Pradesh state and should be form the same district for which the Rally has been announced.

Pay Provisions:

• The applicants get selected as Soldiers will be receiving a monthly remuneration in the range of Rs.11000.00 per month (approximately) along with other facilities as extended by Indian Army after completion of training.

Common Entrance Examination:

• All the candidates except DSC and Sol (Tdn) who have been declared fit at rally site in the Medical Examination will undergo a Common Entrance Examination at Army Recruitment Office, Guntur location. Date will be 27-July-2014 for direct medical fit and 31-Aug-2014 for MH review medical fit candidates including complete Sol (Tdn) Candidates.
• There will be negative marking of (1/4^th) for each wrong answer in the Common Entrance.

Mode of Selection:

The selection of candidates will be done at Rally abiding the following procedure:

• Physical Standard Test
• Physical Endurance Test
• Personal Interview
• Final Medical Examination

• Unattested Photographs
• Certificates of all education with original and two sets of photocopies
• Domicile Certificate, Sports certificate, NCC ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ certificate, Caste Certificate, Character Certificate
• Other certificates claiming relaxation or advantage of marks
